I just turned 68 today, June 21, 2012. I am retired from working as the Executive and Personal Assistant to the Chairman and CEO of a very large Renal Dialysis Company, who I worked for 10 years. Previous to that, also for 10 years, I was Executive and Personal Assistant to the Chairman of a Financial Services Compan.y.
I live in the Rancho Bernardo, in Northern San Diego County. The most important things in my life to me are my Christian faith, my 2 adult children, my friends, and my health. I have raised my children by myself since they were 2 and 5 years old. My daughter owns her own home in Carlsbad, CA and my son is in Los Angeles. Born in Indiana, I have strong Midwestern values; I spent my chuildhood years in Flossmoor (Chicago),IL and Delmar, NY. During my adult years, I have lived in Westchester County, NY; NY City; Westport, CT; Ridgewood, NJ; Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; Torrance, CA; and now the San Diego area. I am a 2005 major stroke survivor and after lots of physical therapy, I'm back in action; and use a cane. My photos were taken 5 years after my stroke. I have recently chosen to start physical therapy again so I can toss this cane and kick up my heals again. The Medical Director of the hospital's Acute Rehab facility has asked me to volunteer and work with the Stroke and brain injury patients in rehab to help them both physically and mentally back on the road to recovery. I still travel and love it. Afew things on my "bucket" list are an auto tour of Ireland and a Riverboat trip through Austria and Germany, anda cruise of the South Pacific. If you like to travel too....that would be great. I like to watch football, basketball, baseball and soccar; both on TV and in person. I'm not good at playing any of them, but I love to watch! For many years I played singles, couples and team tournament darts. I also love NASCAR and drag racing. I would love to share some of these interest and adventures with the right man. . I'm known for my enthusiasm and energy as well as my friendliness and humor. I find that being older now has brought many rewards that I had not necessarily expected, and maybe you have found that true also. In recent years I have developed a spiritual side that I never knew I had.
