Love the wide open spaces of the high desert -- the long sunny days and brief chilly nights under thousands of stars. This Jersey girl is now a desert doll.
Looking for the right guy to enjoy the fun things in life - be it hiking through the mountains, watching the Angels win the World Series, or having a picnic dinner at the Hollywood Bowl. The theatre, movies, or a night at a casino would be enoyable.
You need to be able to give me space since I have been single for more than 30 years. Sharing 100% of my life style would be a tough adjustment for me.
I am an animal advocate and you will have to be somewhat of an animal lover as well. I have rescued many cats and dogs and placed most of them in loving homes, but have a houseful of pets that have placed themselves with me.
I try to live a healthy life and place importance on diet, exercise and mental stimulation. Couch potatoes, junk food junkies, TV addicts need not apply. I eat a vegetarian diet, but do not find fault in those who chose to consume meat. Mutual tolerance will work just fine.
I am active, not sedentary. I take long walks, do aerobics and yoga, and dance for both my physical health and enjoyment. Since moving to the high desert, I have tried skiing, but need a lot of practice. I love to roller skate, and recently started again after many skateless years. i am loving it.
I'm not all about physical activity, however. I do enjoy mental gymnastics as well. Board games, sudoku, cards are fun and relaxing. I hope you enjoy a rousing Scrabble game or Trivial Pursuit challenge.
You must have a good sense of humor and like to laugh because I laugh a lot. I probably laugh at myself most of all, so you will have to be able to laugh at yourself as well.
And, lastly, I am a veteran of the Armed Forces and politically conservative. If you are a bleeding heart liberal, thanks for reading my profile, but I am not for you. If you were actively opposed to the Vietnam War, ditto. No explanations at this time.
