Date someone special from Alturas, United States. A childhood friend and I used to hike about and ride horses
together. She is a widow now and has talked me into at least dabbling
in Match .com - something I never saw myself doing.
I have been divorced for a long time, since 1987, and have since
then focused on raising my 3 children who are now grown, well-educated
and financially independent. Parallelling that time I found a lot of
satisfaction and pleasure in playing competitive womens soccer in the
San Francisco bay area, in writing park-related grant proposals, and
in trying to learn about all sorts of plants and garden designs.
I also was fortunate to spend several seasons with an uncle in
northern New Jersey helping him with his, State of New Jersy Permit,
turtle sanctuary. New Jersey is a small place, but unlike California,
has 10 turtle species. I have become pretty knowledgeable about the
natural history and reproductive systems of wild turtles found only in
the northeast US. (continued below)
Regarding wild horses, since 1988 our family has adopted and then
found permanent homes for 13 BLM mustangs, including 2 foals. Last
counted, all are still alive except for one. Two of the weanling
colts were from the Carter Reservoir HMA near Vya, NV, where I
witnessed their 2003 helicopter "gather".
At present I am working with, what will probably be my "last BLM
mustang", here outside Alturas. She is a 3-4 year-old mare from
Beattys Butte, OR and was pregnant when I adopted her at Palomino Valley,
NV. I think she has a good mind.
I will be away for almost all of this October. But I 'm
particularly fond of winter weather and have decided that I'd like to
find a nice fellow, who is also fit, to spend some time with this
winter. I really, really like to be outdoors in wilderness places,
but, yes, the idea of sitting around inside - cooking and reading
during the cold winter weather, with somebody pleasant at hand, would
be very nice.

Someone who enjoys life, laughing, cooking, adventure & football.
I would hope a new relationship could head towards something special but if all that comes is a friendship that's OK too.
I enjoy life & most everything makes me smile along with laughter..
