Date a soulmate from California, United States. Do you like to walk on the beach, learn, grow? Do you have interests that absorb you but wish you could share them with a special someone? Do you have more time for fun and exploring than ever before? Me, too.
I suppose I'm defined by my values--integrity, fairness, kindness--and my interests--the arts, health/exercise, politics (left of center,) and travel. I love to read, go to plays and movies, hear jazz and classical music, and am learning about opera. I like discussions like Bill Moyers has on his show, snorkeling in warm waters. And you?
Have you let go of your previous partner(s)? Me, too.
It's a little scary to be throwing my hat in the ring like this, but all my life I've taken risks to pursue what I loved: work, family, beauty, justice. After years in a career and as a parent, I have more time now than ever before to devote to a relationship. To cherish and be cherished. To have fun. To share the joys of this time of life. I've had to do some work on myself over the years and expect to continue to learn.
But what about you? What are you looking for? What makes you happy?
My date is open-minded, a gentleman, independent, and enjoys an adventure.
Meet a woman from California, United States. Old enough to know better. Young enough to go for it anyway…I just turned 69, going on 40. I am as energetic, enthusiastic, curious, intellectually engaged, politically outraged, feisty, rebellious, provocative, physically active, slimmed and toned as any time in my life. I wake up every morning ready and anxious to dance upon the earth, and celebrate being alive and a woman.
I was lucky enough to be raised in Manhattan, by parents who took full advantage of the classical music and art scene. My dad played viola, and several nights a week, while I was growing up, I went to bed listening to live trios or quartets playing in our apartment. My passion was ballet, which I studied seriously until I graduated from high school. I am still a devoted ballet lover, and revel in having a first rate ballet company here in San Francisco. My early study of dance prepared me for a life devoted to movement and exercise.
I am financially independent and my work allows me to live in a home with an unobstructed view of SF, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay, and a huge garden. I found that I have been a frustrated gardener, and now have created beautiful Japanese-style gardens. Tending my garden is my form of meditation.
I am politically very liberal: a card carrying member of the ACLU and Amnesty International, a captive audience of KPFA, Link TV, Free Speech Radio, and NPR.
I have a private practice as an educational therapist, where I can combine my knowledge and training in the areas of children and family therapy, and my joy in the magic of numbers. I specialize in remediating difficulties in math.
Longer ago than I care to remember, I backpacked round the world for a year and a half.
Since then my travels have been of much shorter duration.
Would like to meet someone excited to explore the planet that is me: the high peaks, the deep valleys, my passion for justice, my curiosity about how others experience their world. I have much more to share with you when we meet. Missing in my otherwise full life is a significant other, the rush of being in love, of pleasure in another, and seeing that reflected back. Ah, the chance to fall in love again.
Care to share your planet? There is so much potential for growing together.
