Date a soulmate from California, United States. i describe myself as beiopen-minded about most things. Although, I or others have put me in check now and then. not often though. I'm fairly high-spirited at times but always hoping to keep one foot grounded at least.
I'm looking to meet someone open, honest, somewhat mellow, tolerable, excitable with a good personality.
Meet someone special from California, United States. I am very content and happy. I am financially stable and independent, have a great secure part-time job, gives me lots of free time! I am amicably divorced over 5 years. I am physically and emotionally healthy. I have "finished" raising my two wonderful, well-adjusted young-adult kids! One lives in Hawaii and the other in Benin (Africa), so while they occasionally visit, they are definitely "out of the house"!
My friends know I love to have fun and can be playful! I love jokes, but can't tell one worth beans... I make a very appreciative audience, though! I enjoy puns and word games, all kinds of puzzles, and playing board games, cards, etc. I read news and novels. I enjoy projects around the house and garden, I bake and cook, and try to help out friends and neighbors. I have great "people skills": I mingle well at parties, can entertain, and am great with babies and the elderly -- Don't laugh: not everyone can say that! I am resourceful and a creative problem solver, a "can-do" girl. I am fairly frugal, but do appreciate quality... I have no troubling habits, I won't embarrass anyone, and can be comfortable in a variety of environments. I am not a high-maintenance girl.
I love hiking and beach walks. In June, I walked from Capitola to Monterey on the beach with a group interested in local history and geology/oceanography. Hardly the marathons you might see in other profiles, but this is what I enjoy! Being out in nature and going slow enough to really notice things. 10-12 miles is a good hike for me, 4-5 is a nice walk, anything less leaves me wanting more...
I am active with family and that almost always involves food, games and parties! I am blessed with lots of good friends -- comes from being part of a community for many years...
While I am a hard worker at whatever I do, I still want to minimize stress in my life -- I am definitely not a person who feeds off adrenaline! Lively and enthusiastic often, task-oriented and persistent when necessary, but "driven" -- not so much! It has actually taken some effort to learn to slow my pace a bit and really relax and enjoy some downtime. Life is so much more enjoyable now!...
I have come through some big life-changing events in the past several years, did a pretty good job with it all, and landed on my feet. Lots of the plans I have been working, working, working on are starting to pay off. I have cleaned up all the loose ends, even down to remodeling the house, (ok the garden always needs a little more work...) and can now take a few deep breaths and look around!
I have proven I can do it all on my own, but the truth is I want someone to be here with me. I want a little more zing in my life -- to enjoy more deeply the present, and to look more eagerly toward to the future! After a very long marriage, I am a little shy -- new, again, to the dating game. Yet I would love to have a nice solid comfortable male friendship -- something beyond what my great gal-pals and family offer! And eventually I am interested in developing that friendship into something more, but the good foundations take time to build. If I want to feel like I could lean on you, there needs to be something solid there.
I am looking for a nice person who is comfortable with himself, first and foremost, a good communicator, and is also financially stable. I myself am a decent person with strengths and assets to contribute to a relationship, and pragmatically hope to find a fair "match" in that way.
How does that sound to you?
Date a woman from California, United States. Now I understand why it took my boys eons to write their personal essays for their college apps. (What and how much do I say? Here is a synopsis of my situation: I live and work full time in Santa Cruz during the week, so I'm free on weekends if you'd like to meet in person. (If you live close by, any evening would be fine too!)
At this point, I am looking for someone to hang out with. I'd love to meet up for movies, dinner, walks, bike rides, etc, and let nature take its course. I don't have an agenda. How about if we start with an email? To help you decide, here are the fun facts: I am kind, intelligent, fun, normal, honest, and caring. I like all types of people, but I'd find a guy who opens doors for me, brings me flowers, likes to take the lead, doesn't whine, and is not needy or overly sensitive, VERY enticing. If you like women who are independent, thoughtful, and understand sarcasm, you will probably like me. As an added bonus, I am very open, demonstrative, and expressive.
Send me an email if you'd like to start a conversation!
