I graduated about a year ago with a bachelor's in psychology. Instead of working in psychology as planned, I sort of fell into a unique job: answering 9-1-1 calls and dispatching law enforcement. Aside from that, I like to spend my free time doing things that most everyone also does (hang out with friends and the like). During the fall through the spring, I watch pretty much any Sharks game I can -- I'm a huge fan.

Date a girl from California, United States. Hi! So you happened to stop by my profile and give it a read...thank you. I hope this will be at least somewhat insightful/interesting/entertaining. Typing something out about myself onto a computer screen and putting it out there for all to see is a bit awkward for me but here's my shot.
***Firstly I'd like to say that the bottom line of what I am looking for is a committed relationship. I believe in being friends first and taking time to get to know someone but if it moves past that than ideally I would want the two of us to be committed and faithful to each other. I am NOT okay with the friends with benefits situation!***
A little about me:
I love the outdoors! I enjoy exploring, hiking, camping, kayaking, bike riding, bouldering, swimming, off roading, skydiving, among other things. I am open to trying new things and I hope to try kite surfing and diving sometime soon!
If i'm not doing something outside I am content with creating artwork (of all mediums), reading, movie enjoying, singing/writing, dancing (not at clubs, i'm not real into that), good conversation, and watching live performances of all sorts. I am known by many as a 'monkey' because I love love love to climb rocks and cliff sides and various aerial circus apparatuses. I practice Aerial Dance/Acrobatics five to six days a week and consider that my sanity time - even though most think what I do is 'crazy'.
I am pursuing a career in Forensic Art and Forensic Investigation/Anthropology. I have always had an interest in these subjects and believe that working in that field will not only be good for me, but a way for me to use my talents and the things I enjoy to help others.
People would describe me as diligent, driven, loyal, trustworthy,dependable, active, caring, sensitive, loving, adventurous, spontaneous, , goofy, and somewhat mysterious. I am more into one on one interactions or small groups. I find myself a bit out of place in large groups of people. Depending on the situation I can be very quiet but other times very open charismatic and lively.
I have done some traveling and hope to do more in the future. I have spent most my life in CA but have spent some time in other states. I have found that a lot of growth occurred when I left my comfort zone and experienced other peoples way of life and I find that those are some of the best experiences I have had.
What I am looking for:
I would first like to make friends. It would be nice to find someone who shares similar interests, who is compatible, someone I can have a deep relationship with. I first want to establish a genuine bond before moving into romance. I believe that the strongest relationships begin that way and can only continue to evolve when (we) have first established that. I don't expect every friendship to turn into a partner as I have friends, both male and female. whom I am very close to, with no expectation of romance. I would like to find someone who has drive, who is working for a cause or to better their lives and others, if possible. Someone who is adventurous, who would like to do fun, athletic, outdoor activities with me but who can also be laid back and just sit and watch movies or hang at home. I value my space and alone time so it is important that (you) can respect that and have a balance between time spent together and time spent apart. The ideal person would be drug free, truthful, understanding, faithful, loyal, caring, respectful, committed, funny (speaking of funny, you need to be able to handle my dark/obscure sense of humor), loving, compassionate, adventurous, strong willed but not overbearing, and someone who can communicate their thoughts/feelings well. Long list? What I expect from others, I give to others, simple as that. The above is what I truly believe is a must. I am not totalitarian but I believe that mutual morals and values play a big part in a successful relationship.
