Date a soulmate from California, United States. I signed up for this because friends said I needed to start meeting new people. I get a lot of winks, and guys wanting to chat. Honestly, if you live more than an hour away it is not going to work unless you are moving. I have a great job as a teacher, I own a beautiful home, and I am financially secure. I know that is a hard one for most guys, but I would like to meet the man who is secure enough in his own right, that I am the icing on the top. I am not desperate for a date, and would prefer to date men who are in the 50- 62 age range.
I am 5'10', a former high school and college swimmer. I was raised in Lodi, attended high school in Lodi. I joke with my friends that I have all of my body parts, without any plastic. I am currently getting my body back into shape, walking my dog, and losing that dreaded 15. I graduated college at University of Nevada, and I am a proud alumnus. I moved back to California after college, and lived in the Bay Area for 18 years. I am an elementary teacher in Stockton. Like everyone on this site, I am a newly divorcee. I would love to meet a great boyfriend/companion, and write a new story with him. Maybe happily ever does exist.
I have two grown children, a son and a daughter. They are the best of me, and they keep me grounded. They reside out-of-state, and have graduated from college. I am a very proud mom, and I have a very close relationship with both. I feel blessed because both of my parents are still alive, and in my life. In fact, I live five minutes away, and we usually have dinner together once a week. I have an older sister (nurse), and two brothers (businessmen). I was raised in a very close family, and all of us are known for our opinions and passion for life. I was raised in the Presbyterian church, but I attend a Nazarene church now as an adult. My faith is very important to me.
My hobbies: I love to work in my yard, ride my cruiser bike, attend concerts, read, wine tasting with friends. I like to relax at home watching movies, or going to lunch with friends. I like to snow and water ski, and attend sporting events. I like doing activities around water, remember I am a retired swimmer (part fish)! I have been fortunate to travel to many places in the world. Israel and Australia are on my bucket list for the future. I would love to travel to those places before I retire. I learned to play golf about 16 years ago, but I need a new golf buddy.
I love country music like Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Toby Keith. I also love Christian music and concerts. I like MercyMe, Newsboys, Casting Crown, and many more. I do like music from the 70's and 80's. I like to attend drama/music (Broadway), and classical and Jazz music concerts. I am not picky over music, but "Rap" music just is not for me. The one and only rap song to this day that I remember is, " I love big butts, because big butts don't lie". I use to love the music and the rhyme to that song back in the late 90's.
What makes me unique: I am who I say I am. I am honest, trustworthy, and when I fall in love I am in 100%. I am not a fake, I am real. My friends would say I am fun to be around, never a dull moment. People in general like hanging with me. I can be your best friend. I have also learned from the past, that a good relationship starts out as a friendship, the old fashion way. I am a loyal to my family and friends and I have a gigantic heart.
