My two kids (18 and 21) are happy, engaged in life and thriving. I am proud of their smiles, empathetic hearts and curiosity. We hang together well, and take some fun vacations each year. I look forward to adding a great guy to our group!
My daughter got me into Bikram Yoga (the hot kind) and now I'm a regular. I love having all these muscles!
It's a pretty active life, but also centered. One of the wonderful things in my life in the past few years has been a new and fuller way of engaging with people -- as if I have removed some layers. I enjoy this lighter feeling.

Let me provide an example. There is a couple I've known and have admired for many years. This couple I write of are in their 80's, 2nd marriage for each. I have been fortunate to observe them interact, of course without any awareness on their part that they have caught my attention. They constantly hold hands, laugh together and whisper secrets to each other. He looks at her adoringly when she is not aware and she does the same. I once had the opportunity to ask him what the secret was...he told me that he loves her more each day, adores her, that they have never argued and that she is his best-friend.
Is this type of relationship rare? Is it still possible that I might someday meet my best-friend? I can only hope.
