It is easy for me to put other's needs ahead of my own. I am affectionate, but not clingy, except maybe with my dog! ha! I eat healthy, am healthy, and grow my own vegetables. My favorite drink is water! I workout, and like the outdoors. I like to camp and eat the fish I catch! I do like a good movie, crime-drama and comedies; some romance, and I do like some Marvel and Sci-Fi, but I need a little coaxing on those! My parents taught me wholesome values, and how to work. I live by those standards and am a hard-worker. Consequently, I am curious about many things. I am sure I must have been one of those little kids often asking, "Why?" and "Yes, but why?" I don't think I was too annoying because my memories are of a happy youth and loving home. I have been fortunate to travel a little; enough to know that we are all just people around the world with fascinating cultures, languages, foods, and natural environment. We are the same in that we laugh and cry, want to be warm and fed, feel love and be needed. There are really good people everywhere. I believe travel is an important part of education. I teach English in high school and truly enjoy my at-risk 9th-graders, 2nd year immigrant students mostly from Vietnam and Mexico, (but global), and 12th grade college prep young men and women. Technology-based education is the direction we are taking to prepare kids to be career and college-ready. Real world information is combined with core literature and communication, and it is an exciting time to be in this profession. I also teach Adult School Intermediate Spanish, when there is community interest. And, lucky me, I am the high school Girls' Swim Team Head Coach. I am a former swimmer/National's athlete, and all my kids are athletes! I am a gentle person, and try to show kindness. I feel compassion and act on that when I can. I wish I could do more! I like the theater and museums, and I also like lots of music. I even like some of the artists my students listen to, but I am a guitar fan, and appreciate Jimmy Page of Led Zeplin, and Journey's Neal Schon. I turn up the sound to Pink Floyd's, "The Wall," and enjoy the bluesy tone of John Hiatt's, "It Feels Like Rain." Kenny G and Van Morrison play a nice Saxophone. There are times I like jazz, and Motown. I have been to lots of concerts growing up; a great part of my life. I am an adventurer, and medium risk-taker, and love a good time, but my true favorite place is bronzing on the beach in summer and riding a few waves. I want to have a couple of horses someday. I am happy. God is first in my life always, then, the man I love and family, work for now, and play and friendships are vitally important, all for a healthy life. I will trust you and you can trust me. My dad taught me that learning is life-long, and I believe him, even into the eternities.

I prefer living a healthy lifestyle which includes, watching my weight (a life long job) eating healthy (although I enjoy all kinds of food and am not your typical picky eater), exercise and just staying active. I am thankful to be in good health and try to stay that way. I am most often told I look 10 years younger then my age. I am not looking for a couch potato... don't mind sports... and my #1 love language LOVES a handyman! I am planning to get golf lessons when time permits, can play an excellent game of pool (one game you can't beat me at) and can play a little tennis, but no where close to as good as my pool game.
Things I miss & look forward to again... Spending time with that one special person, cuddling in a warm cozy house when it's cold outside, being in the kitchen with him while we prepare a meal and sneaking up behind to give him a hug, sharing laughs and the events of our day. I miss the companionship and the feeling that maybe this is the "one" I will spend the rest of my life with, but we are open to taking the time to find out... and I don't really think it will take long to figure out if we will be just friends or that and more. Let's take the time to grow a friendship and see where it leads.
Who is he? I'm not sure but he thinks I am worth waiting for and I feel the same about him. He enjoys his work and likes to stay busy. He's active, loves family, enjoys social events & gatherings, shares a Christian faith and going to church with me weekly. He has strong values and is trustworrthly, faithful and a man of his word. He is not a recreational dater... he is also looking for that special someone to spend the rest of his life with. He is unique, a rare find and pretty special to me... that's who "HE" is.
