I grew up in the Midwest but when I go back to see family the state I grew up in doesn’t feel like home anymore. With all the traveling I have done I just don’t see the world the same as many from my past see it that haven’t ventured out of their shell. I jump at the chance for road trips. It could be anything from tracking down some mysterious spot you have always heard about or going and reenacting some historical event on our own.

I find it therapeutic, relaxing, and fun to get away from the computer and plant some trees, touch up the fence, or something else that helps the house become more enjoyable. Also to relax, I have several musical instruments. Though I'm no Elton John ;), I do have fun making melodies and such when the mood finds me. In the summer I took sailing lessons. Now I am able to rent a small boat. It's pretty cool actually.
In addition to the day job, I am working on developing a social-media internet start-up. So far it's just me making functional prototypes for my ideas. When one is stable and I have a home-grown marketing strategy, then I will be able to go live with it. I know, *snore* .... :) ... but any way, it's what I am working on.
Life is good; being alone, not so much. I guess you think so too if you are on this site.
