I prefer homecooked meals to fancy restaurants. I am too damn old to be trying to meet people in bars, so when I go out, it is usually to a movie or hiking in the hills. I enjoy travelling, but probably will not be doing much for the next year, as I finish my training. I am honest, believe strongly in personal integrity and accountability, and have a firm set of moral values. I am an atheist, but have an open mind to all religious beliefs. I can’t stand bible thumpers. I have lived all over this country, but prefer the livability of the Midwest and South, but the geography, liberalism and weather of the West Coast. I have no tattoos or body piercings, but believe they can be sexy on some women – the so called tramp stamp. Conservative Republicans and I do not get along. In general, I hate procrastination. My word is my bond. I have a very scientific method of approaching most problems, but definitely do not apply it to everything, i.e. I do not have sex like a robot. I have not had cable for years. I do love certain television shows though and will watch them on season compilations, with a penchant for sci-fi. I am much more of an introvert than extrovert. I enjoy video games, but they do not dominate my life. I smoke cigars whenever I feel like it. I have a beautiful and smart daughter, but she does not live with me.
I am looking for a woman who shares my political and religious views, as these are usually the two areas that can raise the biggest problems in a relationship. Honesty and communication are a must as they are the two most important aspects that form a firm foundation for a relationship. After that, I am pretty open-minded and willing to share the life of whomever I meet, including exploring new ideas and past-times that neither of us have experienced.
