i'm a leo who loves to write, so one would think it wouldn't be at all arduous for me to go on and on about how fantastic and worldly i am ;) still, it's kind of hard nonetheless. i suppose the best thing i can do here it be honest, that helps both you and i to know if you're in the right place at the right time. i'm 26 years young, born and raised in the big(small) city of sacramento. i moved to the bay area for college, and still managed to find my way home again, but this is where my family is, so truly i can't complain.
the biggest deals to me- as it relates to having an individual sense of peace and happiness- is to know that i am currently doing my best at the things i actually possess control over. this encompasses my personal work ethic, the way i treat people and things, and the health of my overall relationship with the universe and all that is greater than me. it is so important to remember that i am one moving piece in such a far bigger picture, and a momentary frustration that i experience could never quite possibly equate to the experience of so many people on this planet that are really, actually suffering. so in that regard- perspective is key.
now let me get off of my soapbox and tell you why i'm here ;)
i'm kind of looking to get that old thing back.
from my childhood into now- i never experienced the fragmented, temporary sort of relationships that exist in my generation. the men and women in my family held one another up, carried each other at times, and if they were ever on the verge of collapsing- we never knew it. wait, donРІР‚в„ўt run! iРІР‚в„ўm NOT shopping for a husband- all things happen when they're meant to- but the man with whom i would like to share my time needs to be a man with a sense of value, one who feels like developing a relationship with a woman is more about gaining a partner than losing his 'freedom'. (freedom is in quotes here because, to me, you're never more free than when you're all the way in love).
as i mentioned earlier, i'm a leo- meaning that i'm fiercely independent by nature. i can do most things alone- but i'd really rather not. i LOVE to laugh (like for real- i'm a doofus), i like to cook (i've got like 7 fantastic staples, the rest i rely on the food network for), i love movies- like the bang bang shoot em up gangster ones, and the indie emotional ones that you have to go to a special theater to see. i like to wear nice things- so i work hard. i'll try most things (the ones that don't involve being really high up in the air)- at least once. my mind is a buffet of inane trivia (i really don't know why, but ask me something ridiculous and i'll probably know the answer). i don't handle criticism all that well- so i try to do things in a way where being criticized isn't likely. i trust my intuition, if i have a question about something, i'll ask it. not to toot my own horn here- but i've noticed some of you gentleman saying that a 'good woman is hard to find,'- well, i'm exactly that, and what i can't do (because i've done it before fruitlessly) is negotiate my bare minimums to try to fit someone into them who doesn't belong.
so there you have it. maybe you're in the right place at the right time- i'd imagine if you've read my profile all the way to here, then you're at least curious- so wink me whydontcha?!

I love to travel and I wish I had more time to do it but I only get three weeks of vacation per year. I will say that when I do travel though, I like to make every minute count. On paper, I'm borderline total package, in real life I'm pretty darn awesome but then again everyone has their THINGS, mine are usually mostly only visible by me.
I'm outgoing, get along with pretty much everyone, go-with-the flow but not void of a backbone or a voice, I'm interested in just about everything and love to continually experience new things. I love sports and have played quite a few of them, continuing on to play water polo in college. Now that those glory days are over, I keep busy with running, yoga, swimming and hiking.
