My creative side - acting, directing, and writing - is the part that most defines me. I love the stage, whether I'm on it, my plays are on it, or I'm just in the audience. I mostly write plays, but also short stories and there's a novel in the mix too.
I love lively conversation and debate, but I like the quiet moments with a special woman as well, maybe just watching the ocean (which I can do for hours). I love being out in nature, by the coast or in the mountains or on a wild river. I'm an avid fly fisherman (catch and release only), and my favorite spot is on the Trinity River. I do bonsai gardening, which is very peaceful and satisfyiing.
I love fine dining and favor smaller restaurants with a select menu that includes local produce and meats and chicken. But my favorite restaurant is my own kitchen. I love to cook and I love to create a meal that looks good, smells good, and tastes good. And cooking with someone special is a great pleasure.
I'm a bit of a perfectionist. That's both the good and bad news. I'm a hopeless romantic and once stopped on the freeway to pick wild flowers for a girlfriend. A little nuts, maybe, but it made me feel good. I can be the grim and humorless lawyer or as silly as a Groucho Marx movie. I'm very affectionate, have no qualms about holding hands in public, and I'm just as likely to get amorous in the frozen food section of the supermarket as anywhere else.
