Date men and women from Redding, United States. I've been very blessed in life, having had a good education, lots of opportunity to live in beautiful places (Kauai, Mammoth Lakes, Palm Springs), and also many wonderful friends.
I've worked in many roles, but in recent years, mostly as a professor. At this point, I teach Ethics and English at the Institute of Technology here in Redding.
I regularly exercise and like to do yoga. I'm quite fit. I'm a practicing black belt in Shokan karate, and I also like mixed martial arts. I do a lot of hiking, backpacking, and camping, and have always loved the outdoors. I'm also interested in video, and I like to write and perform in comedies. I like yoga.
My wife died of cancer about a year ago, and this was quite a blow. We were married for forty years. However, at this point I've had time to process a lot of it, and I'm ready to move on. I just moved to northern California, and I want to meet new people. I'm open to romance, but I don't have a big agenda. Friendship is good too, so no pressure. I basically just want to meet someone to hike in the glorious country up here, and share thoughts and feelings, and see where it all leads.
Oh, you have to like dogs, though. My sweet little dog Sierra just told me that she wants to go along on all the hikes.
