Date men and women from California, United States. I see the site suggests mentioning the "last book read". I doubt that the book actually reveals much about the person's character but may well serve as a conversational gambit. So here goes.... my last book is "Singularity" by Bill DeSmedt. It is a thriller based upon the assumption that the 1908 Tunguska Event was caused by a collision with a black hole, lots of interesting science and lots of fast action in the style of Tom Clancy. While I am in the "last" mode, let me mention the last DVD I watched last night. It is "Marilyn Hotchkiss Ballroom Dancing & Charm School". Now that doesn't sound like much of a title does it? So, I expect some of my readers to click on the next prospect just about right now. I picked up this movie at the library a couple of days ago simply for something different--no silliness no vengeance no gore no sex. To my surprise, I enjoyed the movie. It is a touching story about life's choices and gave me several good laughs to boot.
Now for something about me. Where to start ... I'm in good condition: hiking, cycling, gym, rowing and all that. But can't seem to run as fast as I used to even tho I try just as hard. Taking the positive view, I can still run, even uphill (my preference). My brain works OK (Mensa), but I am not an "intellectual". Good thing about the brain, very useful in my job as it helps me delve into some of the more arcane aspects of electronics. Been a consultant for a long time; however, just recently I traded in my consulting shingle for a name tag at one of the multi-national corporations. Now hope to have more time to devote to something other than just my profession; building a relationship gets top priority.
Time for confession, I drive classic cars and collect fluorescent rocks. I like to work on the cars as it provides an outlet for my mechanical side. Regarding the rocks, they get me out of the house and give me reason to visit, hike and explore many unusual locations. Truth be known, sometimes they get me into places where I question if I should really be there. You know, you look around and suddenly realize you don't see anything to the horizon but rugged mountains. Then you look at your vehicle and wonder if that is really an oil leak underneath it. On the more civilized side, I enjoy art galleries, museums, stage productions and music, no opera tho unless it is in English.
Enough about me, so let's talk about you. I sense you are healthy, enjoy the out-of-doors and are not afraid of a little dust now and then. Underneath that definitely feminine exterior, there dwells an adventuresome spirit. You look good in your evening gown and just as appealing in your shorts and sneakers. There are no nicotine stains on your fingers because you don't smoke. Recreational drugs are not a part of your life (steroids either, unless you aspire to beat me at arm wrestling). We share the feeling that it is good to be alive to enjoy life's opportunities, joie de vie.
Gotta go, golf lesson at 3.

More important is the bond and mutual respect we need to share. What I'm saying is that I'm willing to make you happy with your desires and I think you should feel the same.
The "chemistry" thing, what ever it is, needs to be there too. What I want in a woman, the one for a long term relationship is first and foremost for her to be my best friend, my confidant and I hers.

I have traveled the world and am still not done. I try to get away as often as possible.
