Date a soulmate from United States. I'm a quintessential baby boomer: I don't believe my age represents who I am. I still love rock n'roll, working out 6 days a week, and managing a nonprofit agency. I want to share my eclectic joys in life with a physically fit man who can laugh at himself and find joy in a world that's often times not very joyful. I can't understand why people get facelifts instead of giving that money to help a kid get cleft palate surgery. I have been married twice (once for 13 years and once for 16 years) and have a 27-year-old son who is in his first year of law school at Duke. I worked for around 35 years in the medical industry (diagnostics) and my last couple of jobs were as CEO of start-up companies which were funded by venture capital firms. Before that I was with large companies where I ran divisions. I "retired" early, around 3 1/2 years ago.
I have an MBA from Harvard and an undergraduate degree from Duke University. I started my career as a CPA for one of the big accounting firms in Boston.
Although I was born on Long Island, my family moved to North Carolina when I was 4, and I grew up there (and, yes, I do have a Southern accent). When I was around 25 I moved to Boston with my first husband, and I lived there off and on (with transfers to California for 2.5 years and Ohio for 4.5 years) until 5 years ago, when I moved out to California for a job. I love California and hope to stay here.

Just returned from West Africa after a three week cruise to most of the places now in turmoil -- I had nothing to do with it honestly !
I am looking for someone to do things with, there is so much going on in the San Francisco Bay area and it is much nicer with a friend. I enjoy the museums, Carmel and Monteray, Wine country - Coast trips. I like bookshops and Author signings. I also love staying home by the fire.
