I’m a tall, thin, average looking guy who may have passed you on the street today giving you a smile and a nod. If that happened you probably didn’t give it a second thought but I’m out there looking for a special woman with whom to share my life. It’s difficult to know how to rebuild a life with a new partner when we all have full and busy lives. Long ago chemistry came first and then we fit the details of a burgeoning relationship together as we went. Those things seem to be reversed in this phase of at least my life.
I consider myself an easy going person who is accepting the differences in people. I try to focus on what is important in a relationship or situation and try to let the rest go. I tend to see the positive in a person instead of fixating on their weaknesses or their blind spots

I have simple tastes. I prefer well prepared simple food and good conversation between friends. I prefer not to be in large noisy crowds because it makes it difficult to concentrate on the people I’m with. I’ve spent the bulk of my free time outdoors. I like most styles of music and would love to learn to dance as opposed to what we did in the 70’s and 80’s. I fear I have two left feet.
I tend to relate to the world first physically and then on an emotional-spiritual level. I like to work outside in the sunlight though I’ve spent most of my professional life working indoors in a medical clinic. I love to surf, to ride a bike, to work in the garden, to hike and camp. Like a kid I love to play outside, it connects me to the earth to life.
I spent my 60th birthday surfing in Costa Rica. I mention it for two reasons. First, I’m healthy and strong enough to surf in such a place at my age. The other reason is that I want to find someone with whom to share my adventures and of course I want to be a participant in theirs. The person I’m seeking would have to be OK with going to out of the way places. I’ve mostly traveled to ocean destinations where there is surf, but I’m open and willing to try new things and see new places.
I’ve been legally separated for three years. In that time I’ve learned a lot about what I value. I’m 6-foot 2-inches tall (I used to be almost 6’3”). I weigh 190. I’m in excellent health as evidenced by the fact I take no medications. I practice yoga. I love to work with my hands. I can fix just about anything mechanical, wish I could say the same thing about relationships. I have a very strong work ethic, and very task orientated, but can enjoy relaxing times as well.
