Engaging conversation with bright, inquisitive people, running with friends, cycling hard up the Santa Monica mts, playing chess with my son, traveling around CA and the world, devouring books and movies, and learning to cook- these are some of my favorite activities.
Hopefully we can exercise together such as hiking or yoga. I do a half dozen Ironman triathlon around the country each year though I wouldn't expect you to train at that level. I moved to Los Angeles in January 2012. There are so many places I'd love to see in the city and the state. In addition I want to see the world with you. Surely you're up for a couple big trips a year? How about you pick one and I select one? My first choice is a Mediterranean cruise. I have seven weeks time off each year from my work.
Since moving to LA I have been living with my son helping him financially and in practical ways while he pursues his dream as a first year professional Ironman triathlete. He and I are best friends but we both realize my focus will be shifting to a new best friend this year or next.
I have the perfect job. It's enjoyable but stress-free. I work flexible hours, 40 hours/week, no one reports to me and I can work from home or anywhere in the US. I am paid handsomely to ensure our top 100 clients have their expectations and needs met. It is my job to probe, listen and document their comments and issues regarding our services. The stress-free aspect is that I don't have to fix any problems. Retirement is 3 to 5 years away so I will soon have more time for the passions of my life.

My plans are to continue enjoying life as much as possible with a special love; but more so without working. Still working, I'm a computer programmer working with a large hospital group. But planning on quitting work within a few years. Traveling might involve month long backpacking trips in Europe or South America... I've done a lot of traveling but only once for 30 days in Europe, so looking forward to long trips.
