Meet a soulmate from California, United States. Looking back, fun things I enjoy involve physical activity. Hiking/backpacking, canoe/kayaking, road/mountain biking and sailing/cruising.
Sailing has my focus for now. My definition of sailing is cruising, not racing. My longest cruise left San Francisco in 2008 to Mexico returning late 2009. Lately trips have been confined to the Bay area and Monterey. My goal for cruising is the Pacific circle: SF, Mexico, Panama, Ecuador, South Pacific including New Zealand, Hawaii, Alaska and back to SF. It's a long trip but worth all the adventure, good and bad.
Music is also in my life. I have been a trumpet player since fourth grade. Worked on a trumpet performance degree (classical) and played with numerous army bands for 38 years. (3yr active 35 National Guard) They retire you at 60. Now I play for food and beer.
I like to laugh at any humor thrown my way. My occupation was in law enforcement and humor was one way to get through difficult situations. Nurses understand. They also see some undesirable aspects of life and escape by humor, (some sic) I like all kinds of humor as long as it isn't hurtful.
Romance and romantic places are very real, completely unexplainable. My favorite anchorage is Stillwater Cove south of Monterey. I will post a picture. When you see it, think of calm, companionship and wine...
