Date single man from California, United States. I work with adults with autism and I experience a lot of joy doing it. Not bad for a day job. For the last 12 years I've been in England where I was married, raised my step son and ran a Learning Center for young adults with autism.I just came back a few months ago to look after my very old folks- and I'm thrilled to be home. I'd like to meet someone to be happy with - I'm looking for a strong, fun, sensual, intellectual, artful relationship. I grew up in San Francisco so I know my way around and have lots of very good old friends but... you know- I'm ready for love again. It's like feeling really healthy again.
Fitness is really important to me. I've always been an athlete and I'm in shape. I exercise a lot - regularly. I'm not young - there is an upside - experience is a good thing. I love to laugh and love. I'm naturally supportive I think. So my work is sort of easy for me. People say I must be very patient but- I wouldn't call it that because I am never fighting impatience.
I'm a well published writer - I read with the beats in SF when I was 17 - Brautigan and Lew Welch and I were good friends- I read with Lawrence F and Snyder and Ginsberg and Country Joe. I had ten plays produced and 4 children's books. I don't take things too seriously - friendship is sacred and no one gets left behind.
Europe was a great adventure. As were 6 years in NYC. Five years in Greece- 12 in England. Its so good to be home. I do like to walk in the hills I grew up in.
And this light... this familiar golden light.
I hesitate to say this but it might be important. Unlike most men I guess - I'm open to helping raise kids. I think I'm good at it, I've got two step children whom I love very much. They are brilliant, creative beings, working in New York and Berlin. Maybe since I don't have natural children - I don't feel done. I would be happy to be able to be in a relationship where kids were growing up. Just sayin'.

Date a man from California, United States. I am a fun, single guy who works as often as I must, and travels as much as I can. I worked in the ER for 15 years, and my sense of humor somewhat reflects that. Now I teach continuing education medical courses, and run my company's Bay area office. I am a pretty chill person; low, but not no maintenance, and am looking for similar qualities in the person that I go out with. I avoid high maintenance and high drama people both as my friends and people I date. Things I don't do... Shop just to shop; go to plays; museums overseas are great, but not here; watch TV sitcoms. I do enjoy hiking and camping, overseas travel; like a good book; enjoy biking; will watch football no matter what; am a soccer goalkeeper, and enjoy a good rental movie (favorite actors are Liam Nelson, Jason Statham, Steven Segal and Nicholas Cage). I am old fashioned only in the sense that I am polite, considerate and a one-woman guy. Other than that, I like to think outside the box and experiment in all areas of my life trying new things.
