"Necessity being the mother of invention", I've learned to cook up creative recipes. So enjoy entertaining with friends and family in the gourmet kitchen of my custom home. However, I would rather spend an evening out to a nice restaurant, enjoying good conversation and dancing with someone special. I’ve always been spectacular at analyzing other peoples lives or dilemmas ( at their request of course ) they might need advice with but when it comes down to me….I’m terrible Haha! So when I cross paths with someone like that, it’s neat how much you can learn about yourself ! I’m a passionate and intense individual with everything I do….personal life, work and just about anything I start out doing. I’m at ease having great conversation on just about any topic and I’m just as comfortable with pleasant almost “uneasy” quiet moments knowing the person I am with understands it’s ok not saying something. I believe a kiss can talk. A kiss can tell you so much about the person you’re with….what they’re like…aggressive, shy, their intentions…….

Meet a man from United States. Well, I did actually consider going to Paris to meet a date.
She wrote to me and seemed like the ideal gal. Attractive and reasonably in shape, not too many muscles (I am not a 5 day a week workout guy) close to my age. Liked the same things I did; sailing and water sports, hiking the deserts and canyons ( more like day hiking/car camping...I like my showers), and long drives to nowhere .
Than she mentioned escargot. Escargot Escargot Escargot. That's all she started writing about. Turns out she was an Escargot cook and won the French equivalent of Iron Chef or something like that. She went to Escargot parties, wrote Escargot recipes . You get the idea. The thought of eating dish after dish of cooked land snails, usually served as an appetizer in France ( I went to Wikipedia for that) didn't really ring my bell. And (although I do tend to eat healthy, love salads and the such) I like my barbecued burgers once in awhile. Minus the Brie.
So I bailed on her. Besides the commute would have killed me.
So I am now looking to meet someone closer to home. Preferably Santa Barbara to Ventura, but I do make trips to the Los Angeles area as part of my work so that's OK too. Someone passionate and playful, yet stable and real. Someone who is OK with me being a bluejeans guy, at my best in casual settings.... but I WILL dress up when I meet your mom. Promise I will. I am a mix of liberal and conservative norms, an all American guy with progressive values...and occasionally an odd spin on life. What kind of woman are you? I am open to meeting people from diverse lifestyles and backrounds...whether it be for a light get together or something that develops into a long term friendship or romance. I am convinced that this isn't a game (for me), rather a real search for a real partner. I believe in inter-dependency vs. dependency. I believe that two whole and happy people can create a great relationship. I don't seek to change someone, I seek to discover and cherish someone.

. I work 90 days on and then get 20 days off for RR or there a bout’s.
I love diving and was able to swim before I could walk; love the water, I make a good Pisces.
I make the best of what time I have, and I like to do it in a place with warm water great diving and nice beach's; lets throw in a good and very good restaurant or two and a dive bar or two. I work in Afghanistan as a contractor.
So how about a travel friend, who likes to travel 3 or 4 times a year. When I get home I pack my dive gear and go diving in warm water, La Paz, Cancun, Belize, Hawaii and so on. I would prefer a woman that likes the water, to dive, snorkel, travel, photography, snorkeling and diving like a golden otter, not set in stone mind you.
Do you have a current passport and like to dive, or lie around in warm sand, swim in blue water or just be a boat bunny for the ride.
I enjoy reading; a lot, TV or books....books every time, everything from Einstein’s theory of relativity, history to a Clive Cussler or Jack Du Brul book. When I watch TV I do enjoy the Sci- Fi Channel.
I am not looking for just a one night stand. I would be ok witht someone to have dinner with or coffee and go from their; I am a physical person and like to kiss and be kissed back, a good kisser please and I like to touch? I want to hold hands or have our legs touch. Standing in a line I would rub your neck and shoulders. Might come up behind you in the kitchen and kiss you on the back of the neck to say hi, I'm thinking of you, or just to kiss you on the neck and smell your hair and a hug.
To enjoy a beautiful woman is one of Gods greatest gifts.

I am very fortunate to have good health which enables me to charge at life. I am also fortunate to be financially secure which gives me freedoms to lead a great life.
I am very motivated and always ready to give something a go
One component is missing from a great life at present. A special, intelligent, honest down to earth easy going happy/half crazy woman.
Stuffy folk or those with elevated opinions of themselves do not work for me.
An intelligent lady who is well grounded and very motivated in life turns the crank handle.
A woman who just likes to have adventures and live life with her man!!

Honesty, integrity, intelligence, down to earth are big ticket items.
I travel extensively and would prefer a woman who is in a position to do the same.

My diet is one of healthy foods though not a vegetarian. I would probably be vegetarian if I could make or my partner could make superb vegetarian food. Unfortunately mine always seems bland!!
