Date someone special from California, United States. I've spent a lot of years working long hours at a job I love. I'm at the pinnacle of my career, and I want to pause and smell a rose or 2. Away from the office, I've spent my free time eco- and adventure-traveling. I've scuba-dived pretty much all over the world, and have been fortunate to go places, and do and see things, that most don't. I still want to go back up the Sepik River to the New Guinea highlands in search of that last un-'contacted' tribe; but now it also sounds good to kick back in the Caribbean sun or sip wine on the Amalfi coast. And the luxury version of an African safari now seems preferable to roughing it. I want one very special Woman to share all of the rest of our life.
Me? Children and dogs trust me. I always open doors for women. I seek out waiters to thank them. I have a great sense of humor (sometimes I laugh too loud; often at myself). I'm a Springsteen/Clapton/Eagles kind of guy; I also like jazz, latin music, classical and just about any other music that's not hip-hop. I'm intensely easy going; a cautious thrill-seeker; a cynical romantic; a Green (and highly compassionate) Republican; a big-picture nit-picker (the details are important, but not the small stuff; if you appreciate the distinction, we'll do fine). Some people see a bundle of inconsistency; we tend not to do particularly well. Other people see, um, a complex, nuanced and evolved persona; I would go over the edge of the Earth for them. I'm easy to be with, and fun, or so my friends say. Introspective but not introverted. Highly intuitive. Romantic. And fiercely loyal.
