I try not to put too much focus on the things I can't control, and divert my energy towards the things I can. We all have to understand that everyone is not perfect and that mistakes will be made. I recently moved out here to California a few years back from New Orleans, LA after hearing news that my father had cancer where the doctors didn't think he will make it. I wanted to be by my moms side to make sure she's doing okay. It's now been 5 years and counting, and both my parents are still going strong.
Being in New Orleans during hurricane Katrina thought me one valuable lesson I needed to learn. During the aftermath of Katrina, grocery stores weren't available, neither were any restaurants. What good is all the money you have that you worked so hard for? In these bad times, it was good for absolutely nothing. What saved the people of New Orleans, were the love and selflessness from volunteers who came from all over the globe to help those who lost everything. I learned to see that the most valuable thing in life is the hope that one brings through selfless love.

In terms of what I am looking for, it’s difficult to summarize your ideal match into words. Overall I would ideally want an individual who believes that a relationship does not necessarily define her, and is ambitious and independent. I would hope that she agrees with my view that a relationship should enable two people to be each other's crutch, and allow for them to depend on each other, but at the same time, be independent of each other. I would want to support her dreams and help turn them into reality with her and would expect the same from her. I am not expecting someone to be perfect for it’s those imperfections that will bring to light the perfection that lies within that person's personality. Just a person who simply wants to enjoy life and live it to its fullest. There will always be bumps in the road, but all you have to realize is that even on a flat tire can you get over that bump :o)

Meet a man from United States. A little about me....I'm usually the most handsome guy in police line-ups. I suppose that's because I'm the only one smiling. :/ And, the only tattoos I have I got while I was in prison. If I might be frank, I'd say that I'm quite the catch... ;) ....My sense of humor is also second to none....
Lets get this out of the way first, because you're going to find out sooner or later anyway....I'm not perfect (*gasp*). In fact, my brain to mouth censor occasionally shorts out causing me to say some pretty interesting things, but that's all part of the charm!...I believe the best thing any of us can do is to have the courage to take chances, risk failure and continue to press forward even when we do fail, having learned from our mistakes. Successes are always built on the foundation of past failures. By this time I might be a PhD candidate in that area by the sheer volume of lessons learned, but I'm one of those people that just can't be fit into a box and won't quit until I've reached my destination. I think it's also important to recognize that while focus is very important, it's equally important not to get caught up with tunnel vision and pass over something fantastic waiting in your periphery, simply because it didn't "fit" preconceptions about how something "should" be.
Who I'm looking for is someone to laugh with....to be goofy with....to just hang out or be adventurous and spontaneously romantic with...You can't be easily offended either....mainly because I want the challenge of finding ways to offend you. ;) So, if you're cute and quirky, laid back with an inner strength about you, can carry on an intelligent conversation and still have a genuine curiosity and poetic fascination about the world, you might just be the one to win over this rugged man's rugged heart.
Music is a driving force in my life and one of my greatest passions. I've been exposed to music and musical instruments from the time I was a child. I was destined to eventually become a serious musician.
I'm very close with my family. We spend time together whenever we can, whether that means we're having a family BBQ or I'm taking my Dad to concerts. I have some of the greatest friends and family that a guy could ask for. In fact, my two brothers are also two of my closest friends. I have a 5 year old daughter and she is the center of my Universe. We're best friends. She is definitely the most awesome thing about me.
I'll be upfront about it....I have been called a nerd. I personally prefer the term geek. I get excited about some pretty silly stuff. Don't worry, though, I look good while I'm doing it. ;) I also have a little bit of a spontaneous daredevil/thrill seeker in me and, barring preventative circumstance, am usually up for a little impromptu adventuring and adrenaline rush.
Physical fitness is a priority in my life. I figure if you can have quality and quantity of life, why not have both? For me, it gets back to wanting to experience everything life has to offer me, including being able to be there for the people I love should they need it. So far, this has amounted to a lot of moving, lifting heavy things and yard work :/....I don't want to miss out on anything and being in good health helps to ensure that I won't.

. Hello, my name is Andrew. My friends and family would describe me as: responsible, energetic, active, fun, athletic and an entrepreneur. I'm a real estate broker and I'm working on starting my own real estate company in Los Angeles. I'm also currently studying for my broker's license in Nevada, which I should have soon.
Things I like to do:
I love the beach and I try to go as often as possible in the summer. I also like to go out to eat, go to the gym, go to the movies and I like to play all kinds of sports. I like basketball, tennis, racquetball, volleyball, softball, baseball and snowboarding. I will do just about anything, especially if its outdoors or in the water. Las Vegas is also one of my favorite places to go. Not so much to gamble, but just to hang out, enjoy everything that's going on, eat a lot of food and relax. I like to watch CNBC in the mornings or evenings to catch up on financial and tech news that is relevant to my line of work. I also like to play pool in my spare time. I'm pretty good and I play in tournaments frequently. If I have any spare time left over, I might put on the Discovery channel, the History Channel, Nat. Geo. the SyFy Channel, or maybe watch poker on ESPN. haha.
Other things about me:
* I'm the Co-Founder of a new internet music streaming service that is scheduled to launch in late 2012 / early 2013.
* I like to shop at Nordstroms, Zara, sometimes Brooks Brothers or Banana Republic and I like Ferragamo shoes!
* I like to collect artwork. I collect Peter Lik, Thomas Kinkade, Bob Pejman, James Coleman, and Evgeniy Lushpin. I also like Christian Lassen, but don't have any of his work yet.
* I LOVE music, and I love ALL kinds of music. My 1st preference is Rock. Anything played on KROQ or KLOS is good. I don't mind Country, but it is usually my last pick if given the choice.
* I give GREAT back massages, foot, hands, arms, etc. ...If I get you in my arms you will probably fall asleep. ;o)

. I have lived in the Bay Area for much of my life, other than the years I went to school in SoCal. So I'm as close as one can be to being a Bay Area native without being born in the area.
I am a patent attorney. Lots of writing and reading. As you might expect, I have high expectations for good grammar, spelling, and the like. I practice fencing and plan on taking up shooting again after a long hiatus (thank you Top Shot for the inspiration!). Given all this, you might say that I am "wen wu shuang quan." (Good for you if you can figure out what this Chinese phrase is.)
I generally prefer home/indoor comforts and activities, but I also appreciate the occasional outdoor getaway (e.g., hiking).
I have what you might call an anti-sweet tooth. I don't like candies and most desserts.
