Date a man from La Crescenta, United States. Hi there. Save the three years I spent in graduate school in the flat and frozen fields of Illinois, I have spent my life in California. I love living in Los Angeles. From hiking and skiing in the mountains to walking barefoot through the sand at the beach, there are so many places to explore. I always try to make it up to Mammoth for a couple days in the winter (except this year-the lack of snow and my recovery from a broken ankle kept me off the slopes).
As far as my career, I have just taken a job as an assistant cross-country and track coach at at Division 1 college (before that, I was an English teacher and a coach at a high school). I ran in college, and coaching is my passion. To watch the kids grow and improve over their four years is such a pleasure. I am very excited about this move.
Traveling has been a big part of my life. I have walked the warped boards of Shakespeare’s house, spent the night in a Swiss Alp Hut, driven the wrong way on a narrow French street only to find a wonderful restaurant. My recent travels have been more domestic, but I am always looking for the next spot. I love to camp-for the past four years I have taken 40 members of my cross-country team for a week long running camp in Mammoth Lakes. No condos for them; we tent camp. I have found that the best place are those found when you are lost looking for some other place.
What else? I sing in the car (not well), can't spend enough time with my 13 month niece Ella (I'm biased, but she really is the best baby), and I am kind of a nerd when it comes to reading (I get real excited every year when the La Times Book festival comes around).
As far as what I am looking for, let's start with someone who is athletic, enjoys good conversation over a great meal, is positive about the ups and downs of life, and loves to laugh (I know, doesn't really narrow it down). So much comes down to that face to face chemistry. Best of luck with this. Can't wait to hear from you.
