Date someone special from Los Feliz, United States. Not to be a dog lady or something, but the best ice breaker is the fact that last October I rescued an amazing Australian Cattle Dog named Sydney (can't help it, I love a pun). I mention this first because she's the reason I reevaluated my priorities at the time and decided I wasn't happy in the TV/film industry. Fast forward almost a year later and I've found my calling as a teacher and couldn't be happier. Seriously, we're talking Cloud Nine happy and fulfilled. For this and a million other reasons, she's pretty much the best dog in existence. Biased? Maybe. We do agility and I take her with me most places. I don't require my dates to be as enthusiastic about dogs as I am, but anyone who doesn't like them is incredibly suspect in my book.
For the sake of conciseness, I happen to think that the qualities I'm looking for in a guy say a lot about me as well, so here are the essentials YOU need to have for me to be interested (in no particular order). I'm laid-back and lenient on most of my other "requirements" but the below are basically crucial.
You're comfortable in your own skin and love what you do in work and in play.
You're equally happy going out or staying in so long as you're in good company.
Health is important to you and you lead an active lifestyle.
You love the outdoors.
You're the type who could convince me to go on the scariest ride at an amusement park (not an easy feat!)
You have and/or love dogs and animals in general.
Family and friends mean the world to you.
You've traveled, or at least have the desire to.
If I told you I had a Slip N' Slide you'd race me out the door to try it before I'd even finished the suggestion*
You'll take it like a man when I inevitably defeat you at Smash Bros or Mario Kart.
* I totally have a Slip N' Slide - best $9.99 purchase ever!
