Date a guy from California, United States. Hi! I am a transplant from the Midwest, but school and work have offered the opportunity to live all over the US. I found the West Coast to be the best place for me and now Southern California is home. My family means the world to me and time spent with them is priceless. I come from a typical midwest home, with parents who have been married for over thirty years. I find them an inspiration, and truly miss them. I am the middle of three boys and my brothers are incredible people that I am so glad to have in my life. Luckily, my friends out here are also like family and life here is nothing short of amazing. Art and music are my true loves, and I find myself very fortunate to be able to make a living doing the former. Most of my time outside of work is spent with my friends, whether out to grab a drink, visit a gallery, go surfing, seeing live music or getting together to play a little music of our own. I would say I am analytical, but in no way am I left-brained. Creativity and freedom rule my life. I love off beat humor and a good laugh. A good conversation and a cup of coffee. A hike along the coast or through the mountains is necessary from time to time. The beach just feels right and soaking up the sun while grilling up some food couldn't be more perfect. I love to be spontaneous and have found myself in random cities come the days end. Whether it's a road trip or an unplanned flight, good things happen to those who make it happen. Disclaimer: contrary to movies, when you show up in the airport and ask where you can go, you get a funny look. I was told that it doesn't actually happen all the time and it was a little disappointing to hear. So, I need to find a P.I.C. to help me change this. Meeting people in bars has always seemed a little pointless to me (fun for time with friends, not hitting on people...) and I am at a point where I am ready for something meaningful and amazing. I am looking for someone who is an inspired and passionate person, one who truly knows who they are. An adventurous spirit and a caring demeanor would be important. One who is family oriented and selfless, yet down for a little trouble from time to time.

But on to me as a person, I'm really big into the outdoors. Rock climbing,, backpacking (about to go on a 4 day trip with my dad and 86 year old grandfather!), camping, kayaking...all good stuff. I have an off and on relationship with the beach - strange, since I grew up in OC.
Aside from that, I like wine, Ducks hockey, and all types of music. Kinda thinking about hitting up the 40th anniversary telluride bluegrass festival coming up in 2013 - it's got to be good since its an anniversary year, right?
And if you've gotten this far I'll mention I'm a father of two wonderful kids. I'm very involved in their lives...hope that doesn't bother you, but I'm really a better person because of them.
