I'm more of an Urbanite, learning why I am such here in Ashland. I like talking to people, going out to the bar or to the park is preferable. Sitting around usually makes me bored and I go into nerd mode.

I love backpacking and going on road trips. I traveled across the US on the open road with my friends once and I think this country is amazing (except for this one place called the Corn Palace which is really lame because it's not made of corn at all).
I also love punishing myself with events like Tough Mudder and the Spartan Race. Getting the "Runner's High" and then smoking a bowl later on (the other runner's high) is glorious!

Playful antics, high-jinks, and horseplay (we spend way too much of our lives being serious). What accomplishments am I most proud of?
A successful, meaningful career, a bunch of industry awards... but more importantly, making my Dad laugh, having my Mom say she loves my art–or my cooking, being friends–not just a sibling–with my older brother, and really annoying my little sister (Hey, she started it..!). A "comfortable" early retirement. Note: not code for unemployed. If you could stop working and pursue your own interests, wouldn't you too? And, if I choose to work again, it will be entirely on my terms.
What am I grateful for?
Well, I'm grateful that I'm not a dung beetle. And, being retired–it doesn't suck: Taking long vacations that really allow you to be somewhere else, making my plans for the day based on the weather and my mood, soaking and stretching in the hot tub at 10:30AM on a weekday, no school nights, ever..! I could go on. And, I'm grateful that you're still reading my inane drivel (or are you now seeking a restraining order?). I live pretty darn well (at least I think so). Yes, I enjoy some decadence and vulgar excess (I'm an Epicure after all), but I'm not into a soulless pursuit of money to fund the hollow, ostentatious trappings that consume the lives of other folks. They're called "trappings" for a reason. Do you own your things, or do they own you?
How would I describe your social life?
Well, since I'm on Match.com there's obviously something missing in my social life, and presumably in yours too. I'm generally a little reserved when I first meet people–especially meeting people within large groups or crowds. Once I get to know you, that's when things really get interesting.
What types of things make me laugh out loud?
Lots of things do, both good and bad. I love the serendipitous and ironic moments of our lives. Hysterical moments that cannot be recreated. Then again, sometimes, at the worst moments, you just have to laugh, and then scream, and then laugh, and then scream again, until you recover. Or, until a large butterfly net is gently lowered over you... or they Taser the livin' bejesus out of you. Either way, you're in for some serious meds which can sometimes be a real hoot.
What are the things in life I'm most passionate about?
Happiness. Yes, all the epicurean pursuits I've described are my passions too, but they're just a means to a greater overall objective. I want to be happy more and perturbed less. I want to be with people I like, and do the things that make me happy. I would like to be together more and alone less.I think you may be able to help.
