Date a soulmate from Irvine, United States. I am an ambitious hard working individual. I am passionate about life, and love to compete on the highest level. I am looking for someone that wants a true partnership. I love to make people happy, I enjoy making people feel special and love to volunteer and work hard at making the World a better place.
I am an outgoing, fun loving person. I am honest and genuine. I am up for anything and will try anything once. I enjoy meeting people and forging new friendships. I spend a lot of time hanging with my family and friends
I was born and raised in Sacramento, CA and moved down to Orange County a few years ago. I went to school at UC Davis and graduated with an Economics degree.
I value honesty and trust above all. I am extremely loyal and have core values and a good work ethic. A mentor once told me "If you do the right thing often enough and long enough you will be successful," and I believe that.
Most of all I love to make people laugh and have a good time. I can almost guarantee that I can make someone laugh.
Meet someone special from Irvine, United States. Ok, so I could write something here worthy of the Nobel Prize for Literature(hey, if Obama can do it for Peace without doing anything, I can) and it wouldn't matter one bit unless you liked the pictures and read beyond the "Ok". So if you are reading this, then hopefully I can paint a picture that sets me apart from the rest AND give you a few reasons why I'm the guy you want to bring home to mom and dad. :)
1. I went to military school. So discipline, respect and honesty are some of the character traits I hold myself with in the highest esteem. Besides that, I pride myself on having mid-Western values, a good sense of who I am and a laughability about life's moments when things don't go the way they "should". I'm an Aquarian. I'm a thinker, a dreamer, a gentle person, a patient person, a natural leader, wildly optimistic and introspective.
2. I can cook. I'm not talking just boil some water and use the microwave. I'm talking all day, assembled from scratch and made from the heart, kind of cooking. The kind that you'll fall in love with :) One day, I hope to have my own restaurant and maybe if I'm lucky, get a show on the FoodNetwork.
3. My mom and my sister are two of my closest friends. I'm not a "mama's boy", but I do respect my mother and my sister and I have been known to light up the town.
4. I love what I do for work. To me, helping others is like a second nature, so you'll never hear me complain about my day, because when you love what you do, everyday is a great day!
5. I don't spend my weekends in the bars/clubs. I am over the party my life away stage, I want to enjoy the time I have, the people I surround myself with and learn from what life has to teach.
6. I've noticed I fit just about NO ONE'S "Body Type" on here, so I figured I'd try to clarify my "stocky" tag. I played football for many years, thru college and then attempted beyond, as a result of years of squatting, cleaning and deadlifting things like your precious lil BMW; I have a build resembling that of a Full Back/Line Backer, meaning, I wasn't built for casual jogs and jaunts, skinny jeans or Mini Coopers. I am built for power, loose fit and TRUCKS, simply put. SO, if you're looking for someone that can move your couch without the need of Home Depot's finest papered work solicitors, then I'm your guy! :)
7. I like to write my own alternate endings to stories and place them in the middle of books at Barnes and Noble; I'm currently banned from most public libraries. If you didn't know me and merely observed me from afar, you'd probably comment on my effective use of hand gestures while describing whatever it is that you can't hear. I have MacGyver-esque abilities, capable of getting me out of any situation, including akward ones.
8. I am a sports fan. Now while this might come to a shock to some of you, I am A HUGE FOOTBALL FAN, as well as a Dallas Cowboys fan through and through! I also root for the Bulls and the White Sox. HOWEVER! Due to my West Coast zip, I do follow the Lakers and Angels quite closely and go to several games a year. I'm also a BIG hockey fan and LOVE me some Ducks! I play in a men's basketball league 1-2 times a week and golf at least once a week as well...
The kind of woman I'm looking for:
1. A heart of gold and charitable.
2. ACTIVE AND ATHLETIC.
3. A sense of humor, with the ability to sort wit and sarcasm out during a conversation and not get your feelings hurt.
4. Style. I'm talking about dressing for the occasion without the need of Stacy and Clinton bursting in to save you.
5. You can dance in the car, quote movies and don't mind a lil karaoke from time to time.
Is this you?
Date single man from Irvine, United States. I like to travel, as you should be able to see from my photos. I will visit Seoul later this year to see some friends; hopefully a trip to Europe is viable in two or three years.
I like to eat... I can't really cook, so I like eating out whenever I can... which leads me to say that I like to go to the gym a lot too. Bakeries and pizza are my weakness. Strange foods, not so much.
I am into cars and video games; what kind of guy isn't?
I can be honest or abrasive... I don't like lying to people and I hate liars.
Relationships are work. They're sometimes the best; they're sometimes the worst, but both parties need to know this coming in... maybe after that, it doesn't seem like work at all. Or whatever.
I had a more comprehensive profile, but since I just moved to Irvine a few weeks ago, I figured I would start anew. Once I have finally settled in I will probably start subscribing again.
Meet a man from Irvine, United States. UPDATE (April 2012): Moved to Irvine for a few months. Don't know where to next, maybe North SD County; thinking of buying.
Quickly: I'm a geeky, mild-mannered software engineer looking for a breathtakingly intelligent woman who shares my child-like (but not childish) sense of wonder, and will laugh at my oddball jokes.
OK, now that I've packed those first 200 characters... :-)
Pretty much the first thing that comes up when others describe me is that I'm smart. Really, really smart. Maybe it's just who I hang out with, but I'm frequently told I'm among the brightest individuals someone has ever met. Without quite meaning to, I ended up leaving Berkeley with my B.S. in ECE after only 3 years. (Wanted the 4th year, but had too many credits.) I score pretty much in the 99th percentile on any standardized test I've taken. In conversation, I give others the impression I've learned a little bit about nearly everything. (Not true, by any means, but that's the impression.)
I'm also really, really self-deprecating, so admitting all of this is embarrassing. I'm definitely not someone who wants to be the smartest person in the room. As I see it, intelligence is a means to an end, which should be harnessed to a worthy goal, not flashed around for bragging rights.
In personal relationships, I tend to be giving and selfless to a fault, and I think the best of others and their motives. I'm always happy to go out of my way to help an acquaintance who asks, and I rarely think about myself. I've been told I'm the one "good guy" who is actually a good guy. This can be a double-edged sword, of course :-), so I need someone who isn't going to take advantage of that.
But I'm also no doormat. I will stand up for myself and my opinions. I'm often told I'm independent-minded, and tend to come to my own conclusions, rather than relying on conventional wisdom. (This can be infuriating when I fail to conform without asking, "Why?") Despite that (or maybe because of it), I'm always happy to entertain the possibility that I'm wrong.
One idea I resist conforming to is that to be a mature person, I have to abandon my child-like sense of wonder. I see no contradiction between thinking animated movies are neat, or that roller coasters are cool physics experiments, and being a full-grown adult. That said, I don't like Peter Pan-like childishness, either.
In terms of personality, I'm very much a stereotype of a soft-spoken introvert, which can be both a plus and a minus. I prefer to form a small number of close bonds. I tend to be very focused. I'm generally not the life of the party.
On the other hand (and to my great surprise), I apparently have an excellent sense of humor, at least to certain people. I tend to think of myself as taking life pretty seriously, but I'm pretty good at dropping a well-timed, insightful comment that points out how ridiculous something is. (Frequently at my own expense. :-) ) I'm not a joke factory, but I usually draw a pretty sincere laugh.
I have my faults, of course, but I seem to be running out of space! ;-) I would say I don't pick up on social cues very well, I can get too focused on one thing, and for all those outdoorsy folks who love "adventure": I'm not your guy. I can appreciate it as a change of pace, but not all the time.
About who I'm looking for: Wish I had more space, but to sum up, someone who is a lot like me, and is attracted to the person I described. Someone who is interested in pursuing a long term relationship, if it works out, and isn't just looking for some short-term fun.
Finally, don't feel shy about contacting me first! (Or anyone else you might like; I'm not selfish. We all want to meet someone special, right?) It's online dating; you can drop a subtle hint, but it doesn't go out over Internet. :-) (Professional opinion as a computer scientist.) Some of the neatest women I've met this way initiated the first contact.
Date a soulmate from California, United States. I may not be the sexiest, or the prettiest, but I make up for this in the bedroom. I can admit to being different, definitely not like anyone else, but it makes me proud to know that I am one in a million.
Meet someone special from California, United States. Really, I'm just looking for a person who is alive. By that, I mean she won't shy away from the world and would be apt to do about anything. Even being a little shy, we can take it slow until you feel up to going out for fun nights of public dancing or partying.
Date single man from California, United States. Hi, my name is Robert. I love arts and music and movies of all kinds, with occasional interests in science, philosophy, anthropology, and world domination. I am good at the things I do and passionate at the things I haven’t yet tried. I am curious and intelligent and drink tea instead of coffee. Sometimes I read. Sometimes I draw. Sometimes I sing. Sometimes I play board and card games but never cheat. I am attracted to all sorts of lovely girls and prefer the one with intelligence, honesty, warmth, and sense of humor. I want someone who is confident about the things she knows and interested in the things she doesn’t, and with whom we shall meet up for tea, and better yet, enjoy life.
Meet a man from California, United States. I think I would best describe myself as a bit of light hearted geek. I enjoy conversion with someone who enlightens me and introduces me to new ideas and perspectives. I'm a bit shy, but I can be outgoing with people I feel comfortable being around.
I'm not looking for a genius(I'm not a perfectionist), but I'm looking for a lady who can be witty while not too serious. Life is too short not to have a little fun. I also like someone who likes a bit of sarcasm. There is certainly a time and a place for seriousness, but most of the time things should be fun.
Date a man from California, United States. About me: I would say I'm curious and interested in learning new things. I love spending time with my family and I value my friends. I use most of my vacation time to head back to New York to visit my family. I believe in treating people fairly. I enjoy going to museums and I like incorporating the arts into my life. I enjoy being an adult, but deep down I'm a kid at heart. Ever since I was in high school people have told me, "Just when I think I have you figured out you I learn something about yourself that that completely surprises me."
Random Facts: I once accidentally traveled to Jordan, without anybody knowing I was going there. I also accidentally happened to be in London for the last royal wedding; there were so many Union flags it was like being in an Austin Powers movie. I met gun toting men in the middle of the Syrian desert, but obviously that ended up ok, whew! I once bought fireworks for a very large number of Ethiopians for no apparent reason other than to have fireworks, and I made many small children and old people happy (luckily I didn't burn down the town). Most people are surprised to learn that I own a motorcycle, but I think motorcycling is fun and I've always wanted one.. If all this makes me sound like some kind of intense adventure seeker, that's really not the case; these adventures just seem to happen. I'm pretty happy on my couch watching a movie, reading a book, or taking a nap. My life in seven words... Random, unplanned, but surprisingly rewarding. And happy.
What I'm looking for: A woman who has sophistication but is also down to earth and doesn't mind being silly sometimes. Education, treating people fairly, being kind and caring, being family oriented, being outgoing and willing to have fun, are all things that I look for in a woman. Art galleries and museums, a night of board games, day hikes, dining at a great restaurant be it a well-known one or a hole in the wall, a good conversation over wine, coffee, or tea, going out to see a film or the maybe a jazz concert, horseback riding. I love roller coasters. I'll totally go-kart race you any day, or play you in mini-golf.
I'm pretty happy with life; at this point I feel like I'm established with my career, and I'm trying to pursue all the dreams I had along the way, but I've realized that what I really want in my life is a great relationship, somebody to share life with, and Match is a potential avenue to find just that. I am looking to work towards a serious relationship; but before we go down that road, how about a first date? Let's face it; you can't really get to know somebody through email. If any of this interests you, just let me know.
Meet someone special from California, United States. I would like to think that I am not a very complicated man but after reflecting on what to write here I have discovered that I am not complete to finish my autobiography. Damn these about me profiles! Instead of sitting here and writing a really long and boring story about my life I decided to just give you a bunch of random facts about me.
• I am that guy that puts indents into a about me profile.
• I know when to be funny and when to put the professional charm on.
• I’d like to think that I am pretty outgoing as well as adventurous.
• I have traveled to many cool spots but have not completed the hundred places to go before you die series, which is on my bucket list.
• I do not like milk but instead prefer almond milk as a substitute.
• I’ve gotten sick of the entire club and bar scene but still enjoy going out and can enjoy myself.
• I once was attacked by a squirrel.
• I am a Veteran and enjoyed my time spent over seas.
• I feel like this is kind of like a resume and a first date would be an interview.
• I often think why is summer so short? Or why can why can’t I get win the mega millions?
Actually in all seriousness I am a driven guy with lots of good things going on in his life. I have been told over and over that I am a “keeper” but I haven’t found someone that I have felt worth sharing my life with. While I am funny and kind of a smart I still have goals, which I have worked really hard to achieve and will continue to do so. I hope to find someone that I have chemistry with and that wants to share in my life If any of this interests you or want to learn more, drop me a message. (I can’t believe you actually read that entire thing.)
Date single man from California, United States. Hi my name is Frank! Its kind of hard to talk about oneself on here. I a pretty normal guy from the stories i've heard from the girls i know who have tried this site.... so, they encouraged me to try luck.
What I'm I looking for? Well I would say I'm looking for someone to develop a long term relationship and even settledown. A really relationship is very possible at this point in my life.
I went to University of Southern California. I'm very ambitious, responsible, caring, well rounded, honest, and just a good person. I'm very funny and witty and tend to be the life of the party.I'm not perfect, or try to be either, so don't expect that from me.. I'm just a good person that works really hard and try to be the best that I can every day.
Meet a soulmate from California, United States. I love witty banter and being playful. I try to not take life too seriously, but that has never stopped me from succeeding in my career and achieving what I set out to achieve. I like to surround myself with good people and sharing laughs, some at my expense because I am a good sport like that. Bonus points if you like sarcasm.
I am a bit of a foodie but never a snob. I like trying new places and I like sharing my favorite places with others. I like the adventure of driving an hour to try a new place out, but I like to balance my adventures with nights in with my puppy Bromley. You should probably enjoy the company of dogs, he isn't going anywhere.
I enjoy trying a new beer, a couple drinks with friends, or splitting a bottle of wine over dinner with someone. I do not like getting "WICKED drunk" and I am always responsible when it comes to driving. Bonus points if you enjoy sharing red wine.
Overall I consider myself pretty balanced, I enjoy time to myself and time with others. I use to be shy, yet now I like hosting get togethers. I get along with the shy and talkative alike.
In general I am simply looking for someone who is short, cute, enjoys a good laugh, weighs less than me (~150lbs) and who is looking for someone who will treat you right. You should appreciate life and want to spend it with someone else.
