Date someone special from Cupertino, United States. I am a fun, outgoing person with a wild streak. I am comfortable wearing heels, flip-flops or sneakers. My close friends describe me as "Martha Stewart's Crazy Sister" I can navigate in the kitchen on a mountain trail.
Meet a woman from Cupertino, United States. Raised in Taiwan, I came to the States as a graduate student in New York and have lived in the bay areas for over 14 years. My friends usually describe me warm, open-minded, thoughtful, and intelligent. I was a journalist by training but switched to a part-time position in non-profit organization when my kids were young so I could maintain a healthy balance between work and family. I am very happy with my manager job in non-profit organization as it is rewarding as well as challenging.
I like reading and writing, have published three Chinese books and working on my fourth book. I swim regularly, like walking in the nature, enjoy music, performances, and musuems at my leisure time. I love good foods (used to write a column on restaurants in New York) spa and travel. Now I like to live a healthy life style but don't mind occasionally indulging myself in pleasures life presents to me. I also enjoy meditation and regularly practice qi-gong (like tai chi) to keep my body and mind in sync. My life goal is to keep balanced between life pleasure and spiritual growth.
I like to be around with people who are confident, generous, giving, humorous, and positive-thinking. I am looking for a passionate relationship in which we mutually attract, admire and appreciate each other.
Date a soulmate from Cupertino, United States. I have two daughter (10 and 13) that play completive soccer, yes I'm a soccer mom, ewww, don't particularly like that title, so don't go there.
Anyway, I'm easy going and laid back. I love cooking, including BBQ'ing, for family and friends when time allows. Love going to movies. Enjoy going to sporting events or just to the sports bar to watch the local team play away. I do enjoy a good bottle of wine and an elegant dinners, so yes I do enjoy some of the finer things life as to offer. Been described as the girl next door but clean up damn well ;-). I am most confortable in my jeans and t-shirt, but do like getting all dolled up every now and then to change it up.
I enjoy a good sense of humor but not interested if all the jokes are gong to always be about me, trust me I laugh at myself all the time.
Meet someone special from United States. I thought about copying and pasting the words to the pina colada song just to get this part over with, but it seemed like cheating ;).
Ah well...I guess some indicators are in order - I recharge by hiking and yoga. I meditate occasionally, but I'm not particularly introspective. I mostly look forward and don't dwell on the past (...unless I haven't quite dealt with the past and it creeps up on me when I am meditating). I love working, but also love down time. I hate capitalizing when I type, but other people seem to appreciate it so I try. I don't have a TV, but I do have netflix & hulu. My orchid success rate is about 50:50. And yes, I admit to reading paranormal romance novels - why dwell on reality when trying to relax? Cabernet, yes! Chardonnay, never. Open, honest, expressive, thoughtful.
I think you can reinvent yourself at any point and create the life you want to live. I have been many things...an organic farmer in Honduras, an environmental educator in California, and now I work in the medical device industry where I really feel at home. I am so grateful for the full life I have led, for the people in my life who have challenged me, for my son who continues to challenge me to be the best person I can be. I feel so blessed to have such amazing friends and family.
I am looking for...a date. Fun, flirting, appreciation, more(?) - yes, all that. Someone who's self sufficient - takes care of business, but not obsessed with every detail. Attentive (I try to be). Likes kids (FYI: I love my son (almost 12) more than life, much to his dismay). Outdoor fun a must...cleans up good, not a slave to fashion, but probably no socks with sandals, if that helps.
Mutual appreciation is a must. Self awareness, as well. I think we all have stuff at this point in our lives - some things we are working on and others that probably aren't going to change at this point. A good fit...let's try for that.
