So far this year 2012, I have taken the Rhine River cruise in March, and recently returned from London Italy, and Austria. I frequent the gym 4-5 times a week. I enjoy good movies, theater, dance, music, and most art forms. Gardening and cooking are also favorite past times. Growing up on Long Island was fabulous (but brrrrr...what is that white stuff?) I played girls basketball and softball and was the Captain of the cheerleading squad. We were always at the beach. I am a New Yorker at heart and I enjoy spending time in Manhattan and seeing Broadway musicals and feeling the ambiance of being in the greatest city in the world. I also lived in Colorado and wow...the mountains and the scenery can take your breath away.
Lucky for me, I experienced living in beautiful Germany for a year. I can sprechen Deutsch pretty well.
Also, luck would have it that I wound up in Carlsbad about 3 blocks from the beach. How great is that? I take out my convertible when the sun is shining and just let my hair blow in the wind and I play 60's music and listen to Cuzzin Brucie...
I have three grown children and 4 grandchildren and sadly, they all live far from me. My girl angels are 5, 8, and 10. My grandson, Joseph, 15, travels with me and in '08 we went to Ireland, Paris and London and in '09 we took a cruise on the Baltic and then spent two weeks in Germany. In '10 we went to Maui and last summer we had our 3rd fantastic Trip to Europe. We've now experienced 16 countries together.
Traveling is in my blood and I think I've now been to every one of our states. I love to cruise and travel to anywhere. (My bags are packed...so let's go!) Last summer I so enjoyed an incredible 11 night cruise to Greece and Turkey. Over Christmas and the New Year, I cruised and toured gorgeous New Zealand, then on to the land of Oz and stood in front of Ayer's Rock awe struck. I held a koala bear in my arms and I swam in the totally amazing Great Barrier reef... I have been so blessed!
Good relationships are a a 50-50 type of thing. There is a lot of giving and taking on both sides but without harm and malace. Good partnerships take understanding, patience and an abundance of love. . If you are looking for BoDerek that I am not. I'm 5'6" 118 lb. Slender and I look far younger than my age but, that is for you to determine if we meet. I do work out with a personal trainer 2 times a week in my home to keep in the best shape possible. My main photo was taken as of last August 2010. For your information the reason for the Bo Derek comment is that she, on top of being a beautiful lady, serves on the California Horse Racing Board and enjoys throrough-bred race horses and racing.
Thorough-bred horse racing has been a part of my life for the past 30 years and is very important to me. We had owned and raced horses during that time until my late husbands illness and death in 2007. I am not a heavy gambler if that's a concern. I handicap quite well and can stand on my own two feet. I have many friends in the industry and I'm looking for someone who enjoys the races and can also enjoy the camaraderie. It is a totally different fun world and lifestyle. Del Mar live racing is a favorite time of year for me. Having a box on the finish line makes it even more enjoyable. It would really be nice if there was someone out there who loved and participated in the sport of racing as a love as I do.
I also enjoy going to football games and at one time had 50 yard line seats when the Rams where in L.A. and Anaheim, but now watch most sports on television. I enjoy watching golf (which I do not play) basketball, football, especially during the playoffs.
