Date someone special from California, United States. I am an incurable romantic by nature have a positive outlook and try to be a pragmatic realist. I tend to be eclectic in my passions and likes. My friends describe me as a type A personality. I am competitive in nature, love to compete, lose graciously, but HATE to beat myself. I am candid, sincere, honest (sometimes to a fault) and loyal. I'm comfortable in "black tie, a suit, slacks Levis, or shorts (whatever the occasion calls for). I would prefer to be a little over dressed than inappropriately underdressed. Passions: (in no particular order) Opera, (Season Ticket Holder at Opera Pacific since it's inception) Ballet (relatively newly acquired pleasure, not yet very knowledgeable) Music (all kinds, with the exception of hard rock, I am partial to classical and jazz I had a dance band for many years) Sailing (Racing and Cruising), Automobiles (Collectibles not necessarily classics), Motorcycle riding and Touring (My vehicle of choice is my 87 Honda Asspancade), Fine Dining (though I truly enjoy the occasional grease burger/fries & a cold beer) Theater (prefer musicals or dance concerts to most productions) Likes: (again, in no particular order) Dancing (I believe dancing was intended to be a body contact sport) Camping (especially when on a motorcycle trip) Hiking Working out Going or staying home "Formal" for no particular reason other than it's fun. Flowers (I'm partial to Roses) Photography (portraits, landscapes and seascapes primarily. Digital photography is beginning to intrigue me.
My ideal partner is a lady (in every sense of the word) who is confident, and sure of herself. She enjoys her femininity and is not threatened or challenged but appreciates a chivalrous gentleman. It would be great if she enjoyed my passions and added some of her own to the mix. As for the sailing I plan to go cruising. As for the tennis it would be a dream come true If we could compete fairly evenly or better yet she be the stronger player.
