Meet a man from Vista, United States. I love life and try to live it to the fullest. I am a fairly recent widower from Vista, Ca. I also live part-time in Tucson, Arizona. I am a retired chiropractor. I enjoy walking/hiking and calisthenics/floor exercises, walks on the beach, enjoying great conversation, meals and wonderful people. If you play poker, that is a nice bonus. I have two beautiful daughters that are grown, but I am still very much a part of their lives. I love dogs, but they must be hypoallergenic because of an allergy. I enjoy people with alot of energy and who love life. I am up for trying new things, and exploring new interests/places. My garden and home are my sanctuary. I enjoy physical activity and it has always been a part of my life. I hope to meet an attractive, intelligent woman who enjoys some of the things that I do, and who would also like to find someone who will enrich their life. (My photos are taken with my daughters over the last year.)
Date a soulmate from California, United States. I like to achieve and learn and I try to do my best at it whatever I do. I don't believe in doing anything half-ways; I hate shoddy work at any level. The last thing I want to hear is, "That's good enough", especially when I know full well that it's not good enough.
I enjoy hearing about those who achieve much, especially when they didn't have much to start with, and not necessarily financially. Especially when they are posible trail-blazers.
I had the privilege of having flown with the Female Space Shuttle commander, one of my favorite heroes, even though at the time, she was only a captain. She could be a source of inspiration for others, myself included. If you were to ask me if I had any heroes in my life, she would be in a very short line.
Having flown with people like her made my career in the Air Force, not a job, but a real adventure. I flew large transports all over half the world for over 20 years.
After retiring from the military, I went to work for an oil company in an oil refinery in the bay area. This was also a highly technical job, our unit was where the wax and the oil was separated from the crude.
I worked there for ten years and officially retired in 1999 when I moved back to Vista, in sunny Southern California.
I volunteer occasionally at the local High School assisting my brother on "Career Night" at Vista Hi.
The local community has given me much to be thankful for and between my family and my father's former employer's family, we have started a scholarship to help disadvantaged high school students.
Meet someone special from California, United States. Born in the Los Angeles area and spent my first 55 years there. Thereafter, lived in 3 other states - Nevada, Arizona and Washington State. Relocated to southern California to be geographically much closer to my two daughters. I've been enjoying retirement and all the freedom that goes with it as well as spending time with family, volunteering, travelling, reading and exercising. I'm hoping to meet and get to know a lady with whom to share and enjoy life.
Date single man from California, United States. I believe in mutual respect and communication as being very important in a relationship. I do not expect anyone to do something I would not readily do myself for others, especially that special someone who could make my life complete.
I love to share all the good things in life, a beautiful sunset, the view as we drive through the Southwest countryside, or anywhere else for that matter. I believe in spoiling my mate, with the little things in life, like breakfast in bed, great pancakes, a foot rub,and/or a neck and shoulders massage after an arduous day.
I would love to be able to see some of the world that I haven't seen yet, or re-visit some of my old-time favorites, like Madrid, New Zealand and Mexico.
One of my favorite sayings is, "I may be getting old, but I refuse to grow up." I try to live by that, it makes life much easier to enjoy. Life is too short to take it so seriously, so I believe in having fun and keeping a positive attitude. I try to avoid worrying, because it doesn't solve anything; it's a waste of time. If something is bothering me, I try to do something about it, if there's nothing I can do to fix the problem, there's no sense in worrying about it.
The woman in my life should expect to get spoiled, not necessarily with diamonds and pearls, but the little things, a hug in the morning and more through the day. Maybe breakfast in bed, although maybe not daily, after all it's supposed to be special and not necessarily routine. Of course a foot rub after a hard day or a long walk on the beach. It can only soften her already soft and warm heart. I know I like to get my feet rubbed when I am tired, so I'm sure she'll enjoy hers the same way.
For dinner I like Mexican food, like Chevy's at Del Mar, or Old Town, I like Olive Garden and Red Lobster as well, and who can resist the riblets at Appleby's?
I don't know much about "Brazilian" cooking, but maybe we can share and enjoy it.
Maybe take off for a week or two to visit Mexico and some of it's great cities and resorts.
I also like to sit at home, relaxing and doing nothing. I like to share ideas and stories from life's experiences, I have started this project that I think could be enjoyed and appreciated by my grand-kids and their children as well, Liz.
