I love to travel, but I am pretty limited to weekend getaways during the school year... which is fine... I like nesting, too... weeknights at home are really quite nice... and make getting out for dinner or a couple of cocktails with friends on a Friday night that much more appreciated! I do not like "night clubs" with "dance music." There are a few live music venues in Birmingham I enjoy quite a bit, but I really like small places where I can actually have conversations with people! I enjoy going to dinner at Highlands and the ballet just as much as a cheeseburger at Marty's... all depends on my mood! I also love having friends over to the house instead of going out...
Handling responsibilities is important to me (I hate having things hanging over my head!), but we try to have fun with it... my son and I like to inject a little silliness into everything... we can be quite ridiculous at times, but that keeps us thinking creatively... and laughing a lot!
I've stubbornly stayed single for a few months now... I'm not lonely... I have lovely friends and an amazing family... and alone time can be good, too... but I am starting to miss aspects of a good relationship... it's nice to share things with someone... I love that feeling of anticipation when your someone is about to get home... and goodnight kisses before closing my eyes? Yeah, those are pretty great, too...
