. I have always gravitated towards men who are outgoing and confident, smart and witty, loving without smothering. I am not a needy person, and the biggest turn-off for me is someone calling me every 5 seconds. I want someone to have fun with, who can hold up their end of the conversation. I am not a rabid football fan, though I don't mind going to the occasional game. I prefer sports where someone gets beaten up, like hockey or any kind of UFC, boxing, martial arts, etc.
Small kindnesses go a long way with me, those everyday things that show you care. I think that's because I have always been self-sufficient, and when someone does something nice for me, it stands out. I can hardly resist the urge to help someone if I think it is within my power to do so. I suppose this is projected somehow because random people regularly come up to me and tell me things that should be reserved for a therapist.
Up until my last job, I have always had an active job. My most successful and fulfilling job was running a fitness center for years, and all that goes with that (selling, personal training, teaching kickboxing, step classes, Body Pump, etc.). I was such a fantastic motivater! However, I got out of that a few years ago because the hours were just too grueling. I miss it, though. I have thought about teaching a few classes again, or maybe resurrecting my martial arts training. I got to first degree black belt in Kung Fu, but then college and social temptations made me stray. I still got skillz though, and have yet to be pinned by anyone in a friendly wrestling match. I have a secret weapon though - legs of steel. That is my 15 yr old son's favorite thing to do with me - pillow fighting (only face hits count) and wrestling, though he despises it when I totally incapacitate him. He is, however, an expert in dodgeball as a result. Sometimes we play online games together. Ah, but the days are gone where he would have me get him past a hard level on a video game, as he regularly destroys me at just about any game now. Except fighting games.
I am particularly adept at clever wordplay. I have written poetry since I was 6, and some short stories. Inspiration tends to come to me in a flood in times of great sadness or joy. I have a knack for putting a person's thoughts into just the right words, and I delight in editing other people's work. Once upon a time, I thought I would be a writer for a living, and it may happen yet. I can play piano, was fantastic on clarinet in younger years, and am typing now with sore fingers from trying to learn how to play the guitar. I am not a fan of reading music, but I have the luxury of being able to play by ear. It's more fun to figure out the music than have it handed to you anyway. I am looking for an outlet for these songs that I have swimming in my head, and I am looking forward to when I know my way around a guitar like my dad (who is phenomenal).
At the risk of rambling into Chapter 2, I will end this and say that I do hope that I meet someone I thoroughly enjoy spending time with, and can't imagine life without.
. Family is very important to me. I try to surround myself with good people so I don't care for any kind of drama. This isn't high school anymore. I'm looking for someone with a sense of humor that will make me laugh. Someone who will treat me the way I should be treated and in return will be treated the same. I love to travel especislly fhe beach but don't mind staying at home as well. I'm very involved with my boys baseball so you must love the sport. . I was named after a song and music has always been a huge part of my life. Since I was a little girl music has had the power to make me feel happy or sad. I am sentimental and naive in a lot of ways. I still believe in true love even though I haven't found it yet. I am holding out for that one that was meant for me. We will know it when we meet.
I put a lot of time and effort into my fitness and I would like my partner to be like-minded. I would really like to meet someone who can challenge me, (or at least keep up with me!) in the area of fitness and stamina.
