I'm at that bittersweet stage of life where my kids are pretty much grown and have lives' and interestes of their own and don't need me as much anymore. My youngest just took her ACTs for the first time a couple of weeks ago..and did very well considering she had to leave early for an unforseen circumstance. I guess you could say I'm getting close to being an empty nester. I don't mind if I the man in my life has younger children and I very much respect time the time that is to be devoted to them.
I love college football and it would be nice to find a special friend that gets the whole SEC thing and have/go to tailgate parties with or just watch a game with.
I like to get a little dressed up for dates, but can be low key as well. I know that is very cliche and I'm sure every girl says it, but really, it's true. I can cut grass for 4 hours in my soccer field of a back yard in a pair of "grass cutting pants" that I have had since 1992 and were from a thrift shop when I bought them. Funny thing, they are a pair of khaki Bugle Boy pants that are straight out of the 80's. They are lose, comfortable and cool int he heat of the summer. Love it!!
I do know how to let my hair down and I have an adventurous side. I've been bungie jumping, white water rafting down a few rivers and scuba diving. Eventually, I would like to sky dive as well....wait..I've already done that. Never mind!
I hate to sound shallow, but a mutual physical attraction/chemistry is a must. He doesn't have to live in the gym, but I like someone who makes an effort to take care of himself. I would like for him to be trustworthy, able to balance a sensitive and romantic side along with being a man. I don't ask for much;..do I?
It would be nice to meet someone with some mutual interestes and be able to introduce each other to our own interests.
I also love to cook for whoever I'm seeing...even though I may stink at it :). It's just one of the ways I try to do something nice for that person. Not to mention, it's just great to take it easy, enjoy each other's company with a glass or two of wine. I enjoy that just about as much as going out to dinner! Oh, and if you can make me laugh..it's a huge plus. There is so much more I could say about my match and myself, but part of the fun is getting to know each other in some other way besides the internet. Somewhat like when phones were actually used for talking to one another! Yea, I'm old school...
