Meet someone special from Alabama, United States. I recently moved back to Mobile after living in Tuscaloosa for the past few years and thought I would give this a shot. I recently just completed the Nike Women's Half Marathon in San Francisco California last month, and it was a great accomplishment. I never would have done it without my sister talking me into it! I am training for my second half marathon now but this time it's closer to home.
My ideal match would be someone who is respectful, outgoing, spontaneous, and who has a sense of humor.
I like to travel, go out, and some days just stay in and relax.

Meet a soulmate from United States. So far my life has been pretty interesting I've lived in several places and yet ended up back in my hometown where I grew up and have a lot of memories. I have been pretty focused on developing my company, after leaving a career in interior design. I'm a musician, when you hear that most think yeah right, well yes this is actually what I do for a living. I train middle school and high school students for honor band and scholarship competitions. This is not an easy job by any means but the rewards far out weigh all of the bad. I teach tons of boys since one of my main instruments is saxophone. I love playing and teaching jazz, and seeing students grow a love for music. I also spend a lot of my time as a mentor and listener, there are so many issues going on in the schools these days, and the kids mostly need an ear and someone they trust who will tell them the truth straight up. My students know they get that from me and it's been a blessing having a stable career and studio. It took a few years to understand how to keep things like student load, recruitment and how to break down hard concepts into easy terms, but pretty much got this going and can't wait for the future.
I have noticed that I'm starting to want to develop a personal life, now since I'm getting a lot more extra time on my hands and a constant schedule where I can actually make room for another person in my life. I do love to cook, play pool, go for hikes, anything really not that picky as long as there is good company. I would like to find a man who will treat me like a woman, and has a bit of old fashioned values. I think it's important that he have a strong faith, as I do as well. I'm a graduate from the University of Alabama, and yes I did march sax in the million dollar band.
I admit my interested tend to really gear toward the right side of my brain, but it would be nice to find a partner that uses a little more of his left so at least one of us could fix the printer if it breaks. If he could make me laugh that would mean everything to me. Humor is very important in a relationship and the willingness to have open communication. I don't want to be in a relationship where you feel like one or the other has to walk on egg shells or you aren't able to say what is on your mind to the other person, how does anyone learn if you don't talk and open up about the good and the bad. My faith is very important to me, and i hope that would be something that we both could share together.
Some of my favorite shows ironic as it is lean towards more of what you think are typical guy show. I think this has a lot to do with its the complete opposite of my real life and I can get away from having to think about that stuff for a bit. I'm pretty laid back, can get along with almost any personality, ya kinda have to when you teach a bunch of middle school kids.
I'm hoping that through this site I might get to have a few more conversations with men my own age, and see if anything clicks or works, and maybe try and make a go of it. What do you say? Think it's worth a shot. -Susan

. Well...I am extremely vivacious and positive I do not do well with negative people, in fact I despise these people, too harsh? I am very independent and would like someone the same. Me and clingy people don't mix. I love to laugh and know when to be serious. I don't believe in being so uptight...relax and don't stress over what you can't control. I am high-maintence...just so you know! I am an onion...there are many layers to me. I may be high-maintence but I definitely don't mind getting dirty. I have a very open mind and see the world very differently from others a lot of people don't like that about me so if you are one of those narrow-minded individuals you will not like me! Goodness, anything eles just ask b/c I, myself don't like to read a novel about what someone is looking for b/c I believe all that blabber goes out the window when you meet someone you feel drawn to!!!!
Oh, yeah...forgot to mention that I am smartass. Jealousy is a huge huge turn-off.
