Date someone special from Northport, United States. I'm not what some would describe as a "typical" woman. For example, I don't like shopping. I do most of my shopping online. I'm not into "drama". I will go out of my way to avoid it. I don't like spending hours on the phone talking to friends. I would much rather be WITH my friends doing something we all enjoy making memories that will last a lifetime.
My personal philosophy is YOU CAN'T WALK BACKWARD INTO THE FUTURE. It's normal for each of us to think our personal problems are bigger than our friends. I just think you have to find a way to build a bridge and get over it unless you want to remain stuck in the past.
I'm intelligent and articulate. I graduated at the top of my class. I enjoy discussing everything from current events to philosophy. I do not participate in gossip; however. lol I do not watch soaps. One of my favorite television shows is Top Shot which is a bit odd considering I'm a woman and I've never fired a gun in my life. I'm in awe of the marksmen skills of the contestants and I enjoy observing the interpersonal relationships of the team members. Their camaraderie is exemplary. I enjoy watching anything that is testament to an individual's commitment to excellence, like the Olympics. I do have fun trying to guess the winner and I always have a favorite before the end of the contest.
I'm intensely passionate about life. I am usually attracted to men younger than my chronological age; though not a lot younger I might add. I suppose that is because I teach teenagers. Their enthusiasm and zest for living has rubbed off on me. That's not to say that I am incompatible with men my age as long as they are also young at heart. It's really a matter of attitude and personality and whether or not we "click".
Although I've been to Disney World several times, I still love it. It brings out the little girl in me. I love the feel of sand beneath my feet and the warmth of the sun on my skin. I love to lie in a hammock as a breeze sways me to sleep. I love to count stars and listen to Emmylou Harris and Willie Nelson as a meal cooks over a campfire. The sound of rain as it hits against a tin roof is nature's lullaby. I enjoy music that soothes the soul as well as music that makes my feet want to dance. And I LOVE to dance! Adele is my favorite female singer and Aaron Neville has the voice of an angel. I could listen to both for hours. I enjoy going to a movie and sharing popcorn with a date.
I'm warm and caring. I feel the basis of any worthwhile relationship is friendship. Life and laughter are meant to be shared. Under the right circumstances, I would be willing to relocate if I met the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I don't believe in fairy tales. I'm not looking for Prince Charming. I'm just looking for that one guy that is right for me. Could it be you?
