I am clear about my vision for high schools to become vibrant places for all students to succeed. Thus, I am grateful for the opportunities to work with some schools in Oakland to support principals and teachers to improve the educational experience for youth.
Another long-term passion is the astrological world. I am a practicing astrologer and intuitive counselor who sees the world through the archetypal lens that Carl Jung described in his work. Since my childhood and throughout my life, I have had experiences that reinforced a knowledge of the multi-dimensional world that is our world, our universe. I have studied metaphysics and believe in a set of universal principles. You might say that I subscribe to the "New Thought" movement. This belief system drives my thinking and my actions.
A good match for me is someone who wants an equal exchange in a relationship. I cannot abide with someone who has to be the authority and lectures or "preaches" non-stop. I love someone who is inquisitive and who is naturally bright and creative.
People that I love to be around and are descriptive of my close friends are artistic, musical, creative, and even spiritual or philosophical. I love deeply soulful relationships, not superficial and artificial connections. Therefore, my friendships are few, but are sacred to me.

My family is kinda noisy and rowdy at times, but when the going gets tough or someone needs special attention, we are larger than life with no limits. It would be nice to find someone that has family that comes together and has lots of love. Personal hygiene is very important to me. I have noticed that some of us out there seem to forget how to use a wash cloth or toothbrush or just find it too much work to do so. Oh Yuk! Just because we're old doesn't meen that we can walk around with bad breath or extra body odors. I still want to smell good and look as nice as I can - like maybe some handsome guy would find me attractive and want to kiss me or smell my hair or something. How exciting! Anyway, I am looking for a man who cares about himself and others, loves to laugh, is dependable and wants to meet a woman with same.

I am enjoying the freedom of retirement. Although I really liked my job, and the National Science Laboratory I worked at, it's quite wonderful to not have to commute any longer nor be responsible in getting work done 40 hours a week! It's quite fun to go hiking, exercising, taking a long walk, seeing a movie, going to a museum, or working in the garden any day that I have the desire to do so. I'm a happy gal!
