I am a content and, most of the time, happy person from a close-knit family. As an introvert, I listen well but find small talks and gossips exhausting. I have traveled quite a bit in my 20s, and recently started traveling again for business. I like to read, and watch live music and dance performances. I was a subscriber of SF Ballet but can no longer stand classic ballet (Swan Lake is an exception). Modern dance (William Forsythe!) is the reason I kept my subscriptions for years. I enjoy listening to music, but do not analyze it – to me, it is good if I want to sing along. It doesn’t matter how complex it was constructed. I am a city person and not very outdoorsy. I feel very comfortable navigating and finding museums or restaurants in any city, but consider camping a hardship. I am terrible at sports as I am not very coordinated. Not without trying, though:
- Learned how to bike in college, and fell every other month for 3 years.
- Took tennis lessons for 3 years, and still cannot serve.
- Took Samba lessons for 2 years, switched to another studio, and the instructor thought I was new to it....
I consider myself with a good sense of humor (who doesnРІР‚в„ўt from reading profiles at this site? :D), can be goofy or sharp, depending on the company I am with. Unless being with people I know well, I prefer to make fun of myself than others.
I am a pretty laid-back person, and have no desire to be a top dog (my childhood career aspiration was to be a court jester…). However, the combination of introvert intensity and a not-too-low IQ can be intimidating, even when I don’t intend to. Well, I am who I am and I expect you to be who you are.
