I admit, as a woman I like to be pampered and enjoy the finer things in life. However, I also enjoy a long day in the dirt and sun with my horse and don't mind getting dirty. Long ago I was a competitive swimmer and gymnast and throughout my life was an excellent athlete. A knee and back injury (both sports related) have slowed me down. Now, I'm fit, but softer as real women get , and not over "aerobicised." I take good care of myself, but believe life is best enjoyed with good food, laughter, beauty and drinks-- not starving yourself.
My professional background was Fortune 100 marketing and advertising. I have a quick mind and lots of interests. Now I am an exhibiting artist and work in animal welfare running a 501c3 nonprofit--hence the animal loving requirement. Neither pays very well and it's been a bit of a bummer to have to curb my high-end tastes, but at least I believe in what I do. Compassion and kindness go a long way. Ideally, I like to meet others who have success professionally, but also know how to give back to the world around them.
While I don't have kids, I work with them a lot involving them in community service and teaching humane education. I enjoy their innocence, enthusiasm and optimism. So if you have kids, that's fine as long as they have good values.
Though raised Jewish, my Jewish identity is really active only when anti-semitic remarks are made. Other than that I consider myself spiritual and I meditate daily. I teach and do energy work, such as Reiki and shamanic work, and enjoy being around other open-minded people. I have a strong spiritual (not religious practice) that includes meditation and self-reflection and appreciate others who seek to grow and learn. I'm a longtime vegetarian and am a good cook, especially Indian food. Love those spices. Prefer like-minded partner, but open to non- veggies, too.

Here's a bit about me: I love to explore new places, hang out with interesting and diverse people, and experience new things --from a movie or new restaurant in town, to weekend roadtrips, to hiking the Kalalau trail (Kauai) or rafting the Colorado River. I'd also like to (re)learn to mountain bike-- my first experience was on a sandy, root filled single track and after my second fall, I swore it off -- but I'm thinking it might be time to get back up on the horse and learn to ride the right way. I'm truly grateful for the "real" things in life like my good health, work I love, raising two wonderful sons, and staying involved in my community. Life is pretty great, but it's not all kumbaya -- I've been through my share of difficult times, there are the usual bills to pay, and of course-- there's always the laundry! I feel blessed to have deep roots in northern California and to have travelled to some remarkable places on the planet. Favorites are Turkey and Thailand and I'd like to see South America, Australia and New Zealand before it's all over. Let's go!
Family is very important to me. I get along with all my family members, and my ex and I are friendly co-parents. I have two sons (10 yrs old) who are great little men in the making and already die-hard sports fans. They make me laugh everyday, and I can honestly say that I not only love them, but I really like them. My goal is to be able to say that when they're 16!!
I work hard and I recently co-founded a clean energy organization. I am financially stable and I give back to my community, which I guess you could say is a life principle for me. I enjoy being outdoors anywhere (Mt. Tam is like my church), getting dressed up on occasion, roughing it on occasion, intelligent conversation, and hanging out with family and friends. Meet a woman from Mill Valley, United States. I grew up in Ohio, attended college in Illinois, moved to CA after college, and went to graduate school in L.A. I got my B.A. in Psycho - Biology. After college, I got my teaching credential in Health Science, then I went to graduate school and got my MA in Education and a Counseling Credential for K through college. I usually go to Ohio a few times a year to visit, as the majority of my family lives there. Most of my time in CA has been spent living in Santa Cruz or San Jose, a year and a half ago, I moved to take a job in Marin County. Im not a city person, (however I like to spend time there just not live) so it has been quite a nice change to have Redwoods and amazing views instead of cement building and telephone polls everywhere to look at.
Im fun, loving, curious about life and I love to learn and will research most anything Im trying to figure out that I don't have an answer to. I love the outdoors and spend a lot of time on my weekends hiking, or exploring. I grew up sailing in the summer and my Dad owns a boat still, so when Im back in OH I enjoy sailing with family. I do not watch TV often, about the only show I ever watch on a regular basis is Survivor. I love to travel and have been to several countries either for fun or some type of service work.
I am close to my family especially my brother, I talk to him often as well as my sister. I love kids and have been told Im "a natural " and that kids are drawn to me, maybe, that is why I went into education.
As for what Im looking for....Im hoping to meet someone who has worked through their "stuff" and is self-aware. Originally an east coast gal, I have lived in some amazing places - Boston, Old Greenwich, Australia, and now Marin. Love it here, the weather, food, fitness, and yes even the fog, especially when it rolls over Mt Tam like a Tsunami.
After nearly being expelled from boarding school, I managed to slip through the back door of an ivy league college (though still showing signs of a misspent youth). Can easily sport heels drinking wine, nikes running out at Blackies Pasture, flats playing pool at a dive bar, or barefoot at the beach. Love travel and adventure from Sailing in St Barths to Shopping in Paris to Skiing in Tahoe (Mosely's run in particular). Nothing like the sound of ropes clanging against masts, or waves pounding the sand. Running, tennis, and skiing are my medicine of choice - have run a couple half marathons and have gone from running Triathalons, to sponsoring them, to hearing about them!
Would be nice to meet a guy with a quick wit, who is also kind, successful, caring, and athletic, Someone who is confident and loyal... a true partner and friend coupled with that intense chemistry. Honesty is crucial in any relationship so that's a must. Being with someone who shares the same interests in sports, business, travel and chocolate would be nice.
