Having been adopted at birth, I have no 'blood' relatives or family, so my view on friendship/family is a bit diffrent then most. To me they are one and the same :) (That in no way means that I have a low outlook on my family, I love them dearly, and owe my life to them). Love to road trip, catch an Angels game, drive out to Oakland on Sat night/Sun morning during football season. Lets go for a bikeride on the beach, or a trip up to Chumash to catch a fight. I'm in the IT world as far as career is concerned working for a hospital in West LA/Hollywood/BH area. After working in the valley for the previous 10 years prior to working here, the scenery and weather change was for the good. I can walk outside in the middle of the work day without getting blasted by 100 weather during the summer. If I'm going to be in 3 digit weather, there better be water, lots of friends and lots of libations. I shouldn't be thinking that 'damn its hot out here, I better go back inside back to work'.
I'm looking for: Someone who is also in the middle of an established career, or someone forward thinking who is actively working to put themselves where they want to be. Someone who is looking to meet people to actually make an attempt to get to know them, with the not too distant future of being in a relationship with them. Someone who understands that relationships do take time and dedication. They will not work 'on their own', it takes some level of commitment and time investing :)
If you are of the mindset "I'm not going to change a thing about my life or allow the time to let you in, you either fit in it, or you don't", then we probably are not a good fit. Although I fully agree that you 'can't change people', you can and should make the time in your life and your heart for somebody. However long it takes to break down the walls to let them in, is what it is, but if I like you, then I'll be waiting with my sledgehammer.......
Lets grab a drink and dinner by the beach or somewhere fun to people watch, and with any luck we'll start the date facing each other, and by the end we'll be side by side, holding hands, not wanting to leave when the waitor is trying to kick us out :)

Meet someone special from North Hills, United States. Hi, how do you do?
My family and friends (including a duck I used to know) would describe me as a nice guy who knows how to enjoy his life whether things are going well or not; meaning that I learned to be content with what I have. My coworkers described me as 'funny' and learned later that it means I'm weird hahaha (yes, I do have little bit of quirky side). I would describe myself as one who tries to seek God's face/beauty (with many failures along the way) with understanding that how much God loves me defines who I am.
So what makes me smile you ask?
Children who act like children: not the spoiled and braty ones and no plan to raise my kids as such (if God is willing to allow children in my life).
Good weather: if sunny then it's a perfect day to just drive around and go to new places. If rainy, it's still a perfect day haha.. to drive around and get something warm that suits the day.
Good food: I do APPRECIATE good food and love cooking for people I care. There's definitely something different and special about cooking with love - for real.
Random act of kindness: either doing it or witnessing - it can be anything from holding the door open to giving hands with pushing a car that's out of gas. Not only a random act of kindness would makes me smile but I truly find a woman who does that as normal part of her life extremely attractive.
Good movies: I love laughing out loud and enjoy romantic comedies. I also like ones that inspire and motivate you like Billy Elliot.
I recently saw Evan Almighty and God spoke to me in such a loving way that I broke down before His mercy. God is so amazing that He can use a comedy movie to let me know how much He loves me.
What REALLY makes me smile is when I talk with God and we both enjoy each other's company, especially when we are just taking a leisurely walk and talk about stuff that I would share with my best friend (such as "Dad, did you see that girl flicking her hair in the elevator? That was HOT! *chuckle*" - okay, may be not the greatest example haha..)
I believe being grateful and appreciative is VERY important in life. I don't necessarily appreciate everything all the time and, in fact, do take things for granted time to time. However, I do my best to show gratitude and show appreciation whenever I can like thanking God whenever I fill up a full tank because there was time in my life when I couldn't. There shouldn't be any sense of entitlement (not talking about wanting to be loved and cared) in a relationship because it is detrimental to in establishing a healthy relationship.
I am hoping to meet a woman who is passionate for God and puts Christ as center of her life. Basically, believing and loving God is not some thing she does on Sunday but it is a living breathing reality for her. Don't get me wrong.. I falter and stumble all the time and wouldn't describe my life exactly as 'a living breathing reality' to be honest with you. However, it is a living, breathing reality for me in the sense that He is the LORD of everything I do, EVERYTHING, and I am always conscious of that reality.
I would love to hang out, share our faith, and get to know each other.. and see where that takes us.
