Date a soulmate from California, United States. “Hi, how are you?” Ok, that was kind of weird to do in writing, but I guess the future is now, and technology is our friend, so I better get used to it. Even though it’s impossible for me to encapsulate my personality in a few paragraphs (though a couple pages should do quite nicely), I guess to attempt the impossible is part of the deal, so here goes.
I feel that one of the secrets to having a happy life is to really appreciate it, so that is basically how I try to approach every day. I guess I’m a bit of a romantic because as much as I value self-reliance and individuality, I equally value the notion of sharing my life with someone I love.
I love to paint, and got my degree and teaching credential in Art. I taught Art in Middle and High School, but a few years ago decided to transition into Software Engineering. Even though the learning curve has been extremely steep, its been well worth it for a variety of reasons. Most of all, making apps has given me the ability to earn a living creatively, which has been my primary professional ambition since I remember having one.
I’m also a dedicated musician, focusing primary on guitar, but also piano, bass, and drums. Even though I play mostly electric guitar, I also love acoustic (every time I pick one up I have an uncontrollable urge to break into “Blackbird”). I’m also into film, literature, museums, gallery openings, live music, nature, small hole-in-the-wall restaurants ...
I moved to the bay area from San Diego about 5 months ago. Even though I spent a lot of time here when I was a kid, I have never had the opportunity to live in the bay area. Since I moved I have seen two world class Picasso exhibitions, and as far as I am concerned, that is enough to make any city, as Sinatra would say, “My kind of town”.
Well, thanks for reading all this, and I hope to hear from you sometime. Ciao!
