Meet a man from California, United States. I'm an engineer/surfer/rock climber/occasional artist and musician. And part-time dad to a wonderful 3-year old daughter.
Using my brain, hands, and body make me happy. I'd rather go camping (solo even) than go to a club. I have a quick sense of humor and have a great group of close friends that I hang out with regularly, but I'm also an introvert of the still-waters-run-deep variety. I'd rather sit back and observe the room, crack everyone one up with a well-conceived joke than be the center of attention. I'm comfortable with nerds, artists, musicians, and athletes, but avoid cynical hipsters. I like art openings and live music, but haven't gotten enough of either of those lately!
I love the intensity (but not the danger) of surfing and climbing. The moments of being totally focused and engaged, alternating with just being in a beautiful, rich natural setting--it's a great combination.
I'm kind, I'm a good listener, and while I like silliness I can also handle the heavy stuff when needed. I like gardening and watching a movie at home now and then, but I do get cabin fever if I don't get out and about enough.
While there isn't really a specific type of woman I'm interested in, I've been around the block a few times and know some things that work, and don't work, for me. I love it when a woman smells good. I keep in shape and appreciate a woman who does the same. I tend to--and like to--learn from my partner, and I'm happy to share and teach the things I'm interested in as well. I do need my friends and my activities to keep me sane, so hopefully you can get along with my friends and either share surfing/camping/climbing, or are following your own passions while I'm following mine. While nobody is perfect, I don't have much tolerance for games, manipulation, deception, pettiness, or princesses. Some flaws or a little craziness is fine as long as you're aware of it and can manage or outgrow it without hurting others.
