Meet a soulmate from United States. I'm a jeans and sweats person, but can dress up for the occasion. I'm always smiling, love to laugh and have fun. I'm retired. I am a very family oriented person. I enjoy watching football, basketball, tennis, volleyball...I'd like to learn to golf. I like to dance, travel, dine out on occasion and enjoy quiet weekends when time permits. I'd love to travel more often, but not alone.
I'd love to have a mate who is fun, witty, humorous, kind, a little laid-back and is family oriented. He must be a good listerner, a romantic, loving and caring. I believe a relationship between two people should be stress free, bring no baggage or drama. Life is too short and very precious, let's live, love and laugh together.
Date someone special from United States. I am very independent, resourceful, creative, and funny, and enjoy being spontaneous. I am passionate about helping people through the ministry I am involved with. And laughter is a very important part. People do a lot of laughing with me and I often laugh at myself. Ask me to tell you about the "Lucy" moment I had with a revolving door in Athens, Greece. Did I mention I love travel? I enjoy trying to use the language of the country I'm in. But I am master of none. (still working on English)
I'm very thankful that my body still puts up with most of the things I ask it to do, and I have been accused of being physically fit. Even by my doctor. I made a chandelier for a Interior Design client and that evolved into hand bending, cutting, welding and lighting, steel sculptures. Some are lit with LED bulbs that I made with my two little hands. I have learned more than I ever wanted to know about wiring, amps, voltage, transformers, and soldering. If you need a lamp fixed, please ask someone else. I really like welding though. Who would have thought it.The guys at the steel yard call me a "girly" girl. Go figure.
The Norwegian part of me has to ski, the Irish part has to dance, maybe because the German part of me loves to cook. And I find that interesting and maybe you will too because I don't cook German food. One of my favorite movies is Babbett's Feast. So I guess it follows that I enjoy long walks, especially with some one, sometimes walking for miles, even in the rain. Curling up in front of a warm fire and talking about the adventures of the day is great too. Especially with a glass of cabernet, champagne, or hot chocolate and maybe a smore or two.
I was encouraged by friends to try this web site thing and it has been many years since I dated. So what do you think? How am I doing?
Even though I enjoy my freedom and solitude, my goal is to find my soul mate and, increase the joy of this journey.
All of this I, I, I, stuff is uncomfortable for me. I prefer talking and listening to and with others. I do not want to tire your eyes with too much reading. So.......
Shall we dance? I'm tired of typing!
Meet a woman from Gardena, United States. "Life is beautiful" in Italian. I guess several mottoes display my point of view: #1 "A woman needs only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape." #2." Everything I need to know about life, I learned from Noah's Ark: Stay fit. When you're 600 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big." Cleverness, resourcefulness, a healthy sense of humor, warmth and a positive approach towards life are my traits which I would like to share with a like-minded person.
I enjoy writing and would love to publish several stories I have written. I value my friendships and family and my dog and cat. Sometimes they are like an Italian soap opera (up and down, loud and crazy) but they keep things lively. Ah...such is life.
I love to eat (just a little too much). But I hate sushi. Sorry. I like warm, honest, relationships built on respect and consideration. Laughter is a must. I can't be too serious for too long...life is just too short not to see it's beauty.
I enjoy exercising but I am not athletic - I don't snow ski, ride motorcycles, hike mountains, water ski - I am a natural athletic disaster (and don't feel like paying any more medical personnel to be put back together).
My hobbies are: attempting to make my yard look like a botanical garden and not a disaster zone, playing with my misunderstood dog, assorted arts and crafts to drive one crazy, travel (my favorite trip was to Costa Rica but I also loved Japan), volunteering (I just completed my CERT program), going to the movies, museums, plays or just relaxing at home with a glass of wine, some cheese, crackers and anything else I shouldn't eat...
I would like to spend time with someone who appreciates me for who I am. And I would like to appreciate you for who you are.
If my dog could talk she would say I was funny, sincere, warm and caring and very imaginative (I like being creative). She would say I need to be with a guy who treats me with respect and wants to share life's journey and that would be a best friend.
I would like to meet my best friend. Is that you?
