I want to get out and have some fun so I'm looking for a good guy to do that with. I am affectionate, good-natured, level-headed, supportive, and an excellent listener. I am an independent person who is comfortable with who she is and doesn't need to go everywhere and do everything that you do. I'm also pretty self-sufficient (ie. low maintenance) but can ask for assistance when I need it. I enjoy experiencing new things and having adventures, be they big or small. Almost anything new, silly or just out of character is fun to try at least twice.
Alright, I admit it. I'm not the Martha Stewart home decorating, artsy crafty wreath-making type of woman. When I’m not working in the city I’m an urban farm girl of sorts…I live on a horse farm, get dirty and enjoy all the things that go along with country living. That said, I am still feminine, clean up nicely and like to go out sometimes.
I have realistic expectations and have been told that I am refreshingly straight forward. Overall, I am satisfied with where I am in my life...IРІР‚в„ўm not lugging around old baggage or relying on someone else to make me happy. Really, I just want to find someone that I can enjoy sharing my time with and who appreciates the same from me.

We donРІР‚в„ўt have to share all the same interests or spend every waking moment together. It is healthy to have some of your own hobbies and friends too.
Spontaneity is much appreciated and keeps me on my toes and laughing. A man who can make a decision and is secure in himself is incredibly attractive. Ultimately, I would like to find a companion that is affectionate, kind, has a positive outlook on life and can let loose sometimes. Please note, I am a little on the tall side (5'9" or so). I dress like a woman and usually wear some degree of pumps or short heels when I go out. That puts me at nearly 6' when I head out the door all snazzed up for our date. :-) I do prefer that my date is taller than me so if you are tall that is a definite plus.

. I'm a trustworthy, loving person. The first thing anyone should know about me is that I am a devoted, single mom... my 14 year old son is my greatest joy... but he is so positive, happy, and affectionate that taking care of him is the easiest, happiest part of my life... I love having him as my side-kick...
But I also really enjoy the occasional weekend off mom-duty! While being mom is my #1 priority, I know that he'll be leaving for college in the blink of an eye... so I'm going back to school in the fall to begin my post-grad work... I'm excited about the new beginnings that will bring...
I love to travel, but I am pretty limited to weekend getaways during the school year... which is fine... I like nesting, too... weeknights at home are really quite nice... and make getting out for dinner or a couple of cocktails with friends on a Friday night that much more appreciated! I do not like "night clubs" with "dance music." There are a few live music venues in Birmingham I enjoy quite a bit, but I really like small places where I can actually have conversations with people! I enjoy going to dinner at Highlands and the ballet just as much as a cheeseburger at Marty's... all depends on my mood! I also love having friends over to the house instead of going out...
Handling responsibilities is important to me (I hate having things hanging over my head!), but we try to have fun with it... my son and I like to inject a little silliness into everything... we can be quite ridiculous at times, but that keeps us thinking creatively... and laughing a lot!
I've stubbornly stayed single for a few months now... I'm not lonely... I have lovely friends and an amazing family... and alone time can be good, too... but I am starting to miss aspects of a good relationship... it's nice to share things with someone... I love that feeling of anticipation when your someone is about to get home... and goodnight kisses before closing my eyes? Yeah, those are pretty great, too... I'm not looking to jump into anything too fast... I'm not looking for someone for the sake of not being alone... but I figured it's always nice to meet new people, and you never know...
I'm always the one TAKING pictures, so photos of me are harder to find than I realized!
. Before one can find love that person must know who they are and lovet themselves unconditionally. Once a person has been blessed with this greatest emotion of all then he or she will be ready to shae that love. One of the most important things to me is to find a mate that loves God, puts God first. I want to have a spiritual and emotional connection with this person. I also want someone who is secure with oneself, kind and generous with a good heart. A person that when others are around him, people feel his warmth; a person that is compassionate trustworthy and honest. It may seem like I am asking for alot, but I really just want to be with someone who possesses the same characteristics that I do. So with that said, there is a part of me that loves men who make you laugh and I want to be with a person who I can have a great friendship with because no matter who you are, the soul hungers for friendship; someone to associate with, compare stories, go places and to call on the phone. We keep the gift and get the blessings of friendship by passing it to others in this give and take world. I also like a person who likesto try new things and is not afraid of stepping "outside the box". Just don't ask me to scubba dive or sky dive and we will be all good.
