A North Carolina native that has lived at the NC beach, Boston, Chapel Hill, Asheville and now Birmingham and have worked all along the east coast and now in the deep South. I am big a fan of just about any beach ,the South, good food, Gordon Ramsay, Williams-Sonoma, Jeff Dunham and Fall days in Chapel Hill. I like being near the water. My family is spread out in Atlanta, NYC and Amelia Island, but we tend to meet often my family's place in Amelia Island, Fl for the holidays and family events.
I've achieved a lot of the goals I set out for myself when I got out of college. I've had some great successes and some memorable failures. The failures teach you what not to do the next time around and to appreciate what you got right. I'm working hard on a balanced life. Having learned the hard way that too much work makes you so very ... one sided.
As for what I like to do. I love to cook and grill. I'm no Master Chef but I do love to try! I like red wine, Carolina basketball and golf (although it does not seem to like me ... at times). I am not afraid to jump in the car and drive a couple of hours for a great meal or a quick road trip.
Traveling to Charleston or NYC, a good book, movie, dinner outdoors or a concert ... always get a thumbs up. I like to travel and see what new adventures are just around the corner. I'm as comfortable at a diner/dive or a 5 star restaurant. I feel great in a tux or jeans. I would like to find someone to do all of the above with and more.

Now a little about me. I was married from 1996-99, no kids, just did not
work out (wanted different things). I work as a computer programmer (18
years at same company), have a niece(15) and a nephew(12) in Mississippi
that are very important to me, help coach a 12U girls softball team (been
doing it for 6 yrs), attend Auburn football games (all home games and some
away games), visit the Mississippi casinos sometimes (just to get away and
relax), enjoy movies (had a big VHS collection that is now becoming a
DVD/blu-ray collection), love attending just about any sporting event, have
a very dry sense of humor but I like to believe some people think I am
funny, was raised to be polite and courteous and can barely tolerant rude
behavior toward others, was raised a Southern Baptist and unfortunately have
not found a church to attend for several years, politically conservative
believe the government is in place to keep us safe not to take care of us.
