Love living in Colorado. I moved here 13 years ago from New Jersey and cannot imagine going back. It's great being so close to trails, open space and the mountains. I do miss the diversity of people from around the world and the food. Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, French and all from people who still speak their native languages.
I have lived abroad - England and Taiwan - and still keep in touch with friends around the world. I hope to visit them someday. Not sure when or where yet. Travelled through France, Germany and other parts of Europe. New Zealand was incredible when I was there 18 years ago.
I am active in our community give my time by volunteering for nonprofits when I am not working, hiking or hanging with my children.

Like so many others, I am finding it difficult to write about myself but those are the rules so here it goes… I’m 46 year old and consider myself in good shape and enjoy being active and I am looking to get to know someone with similar interest. I have lived in Colorado for over 20 years, I enjoy all that the great outdoors has to offer; skiing, camping, fishing, hiking, doing the incline in Manitou, and playing sports. My new passion is cycling, love hitting the road for a ride but would also like to have someone join me.

I love to listen to all types of music… still acquiring a taste for country but it has its place. Summer is a great time to get out and see some live shows at Red Rocks or any music festival in the mountains.

I grew up as a military brat so I’ve lived up and down the East coast as well as Germany for 5 years – absolutely love Europe and would love to get back overseas for a visit.

Or I could spout out all the dirty laundry about myself hoping that the honest approach works. The real truth is that you won't get to know me from a profile description. I like my life as it is right now. I'm not looking for someone to "complete me" and I certainly don't want to have to complete anyone else. Would like someone to share things with and to start something special and especially long lasting.
I have two great sons (8 and 10) that I love spending half my time with. We've gone camping, 4-wheeling, to DisneyWorld/Universal studios, Ice skating, roller skating, 1st time skiing, & 1st time snowboarding. I watched and/or coached them in Flag football, basketball, roller hockey, and soccer. I love being a father.

Last thing I'll mention is that if you have kids, it will be important that we match up on kid's schedules. That's every other weekend for me (and a couple days during the week). We can figure out if weekends match up later but it's even more important if there's more of a distance between us.

Not really sure about this Internet matchmaking stuff but nothing ventured nothing gained so I took the plunge. I'm generally skeptical of these things but am feeling whimsical right now -- are you?
I want a friend and companion, someone who wants to be a travel partner (scuba buddy would be great!) and fellow explorer, but romance would be a nice benny. The only games I'm interested in involve boards, cards and/or dice but I'd welcome a companion for horseback riding, hiking, camping, scuba, golf or even trying new restaurants in the Springs.
I'm an overgrown Boy Scout -- I see God in his majestic wilderness and am equally comfortable making dinner over a fire or an induction range. I know the difference between parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme (but garlic and basil rule them all!) and prefer Syrahs or Malbecs to Merlots and Cabs.
My travel companion should love America but want to see the world. She should love animals, both domestic and wild -- someone warped (like me) by Jacques Cousteau, National Geographic and Wild Kingdom who doesn't think spending hours watching penguins or elephants is nuts. I loved Antarctica (Nov 2010) and I want to go back to Africa and Antarctica -- am actually headed back to Namibia in the fall! Do you love the outdoors and the animals that reside there?
