ItРІР‚в„ўs not that I am exhaustingly fussy, but chemistry is chemistry, and I have seen this work for some solid friends. LetРІР‚в„ўs see. I love deeply and well and I am fun (this is documentable). I am complex but not dramatically complicated. I have a goofy side and a serious side, and I pretty well know where those two things are supposed to go (read: I am emotionally stable).
I can’t remember a time when music didn’t play a huge part in my life. My earliest memory is picking out songs by ear on the piano and hearing my mother tell my father, "We'd better get this kid piano lessons." I was 4. Since then, music—both playing it and listening to it— has been my solace and my satisfaction. I have a great t-shirt a friend gave me that says in French: “Without music, life would be a mistake.” That just about sums it up for me. I have seen countless shows at venues and music festivals all over the country. I’ll happily travel to see live music, though I consider it transporting in and of itself. What else is working for anyway?
I grew up in Texas, and while I love living in Southern California, there's something about the beautiful, wide-open spaces of my home state that speak to who I am at heart. If you want to understand me, youРІР‚в„ўve got to get the appeal of drifting off to sleep on a hot summer night to the sounds of crickets and train whistles. Oh, and I love me some barbecue!
Still, I love the beauty of Southern California, too—the breeze (I have a small but lovely condo in Santa Monica) coming off the coast, and all the crazy people that fell here from other places. I have lived here over 20 years. I work in publishing and I love my job. I cherish the smart and interesting friends I have made along the road during my career. It's the ocean, hiking in the mountains, the nightlife, the art museums, the restaurants, my garden, and that so many interesting places are only hours away.
I'm easy going. I read a lot, ride my bike to do errands when I can, travel, cook, and entertain a good bit. I want to meet someone who is curious about lots of things; someone who makes me laugh who would be my best friend as he shares his life with me. I appreciate cheerfulness, intelligence and a down-to-earth quality.
