Date someone special from Boulder Creek, United States. I am old enough to appreciate life’s inherent contradictions, but I remain young at heart and a happy person. Engaged with the world, sometimes outraged, often inspired – I try to “keep my gratitude higher than my expectations”. I am looking for someone who can take a keen and serious eye to the world, but remains hopeful and light-hearted. Are you someone who puzzles over the mysteries in life, like… how DO flies walk on the ceiling, and exactly how DOES a laser work? (I figure you turn it on, something magic happens, then light comes out…) I am a geek-hearted gal and can spend many happy hours in a bookstore or a natural history museum. Are you also curious about the world? Did you read the encyclopedia for fun, too? Are you gob-smacked by things like meteor showers, Renoir, the Grand Canyon, genetics or a symphony? When you go to the beach, do you walk on the sand, or do you feel compelled to be in the water?
I take delight in simple pleasures; being outdoors (hiking, camping, kayaking, sailing, gardening...), enjoying good friends, good food, good music (I've always wanted to learn how to swing dance....), and good conversation. These are WAY better than shopping for doo-dads or watching TV. You too? I strive to be a better me’ (there is a no parking’ sign in my comfort zone) and I would like to find someone who has the same goal, and thinks we could be here to encourage the best in each other. I’m not high-maintenance, and am definitely low-drama. My family and community is high on my list, my housekeeping takes a somewhat lower priority (“a clean house is a sure sign of a wasted life”). I certainly appreciate the finer things in life, but don’t need more than a sunny day and my toes in the garden to be content. I work hard and enjoy my career – and hope you do too. I would welcome more opportunities to have fun, explore new places and experiences, and someone smart, kind and funny to enjoy them with.
