This last year was a great year for me, I went back to SDSU for my teaching credential. I had graduated in 2006, but my diploma wasn’t being used and I had stepped away from my true passion in life, teaching. I had an amazing time during my student teaching experience and I grew so much as a man. It’s an amazing feeling to teach, helping students learn and grow, and making a difference in their lives, wow, there is nothing like it.
I enjoy many things in life: art, nature, literature, sports, fitness, and travel. I love to try new things, explore new places, and spending time with a woman that appreciates me for me. If you are reading this I'm assuming that you have already looked at my photos (let's be honest, it's the first thing everyone does) and at least found me cute enough to read this part, high five! This is my first time trying something like this and I'm not sure exactly what to say or expect, but here goes: I am looking for a woman who I have a special bond with, someone who is my best friend. I can't say I have a certain type of girl I like, I just know it when it's there. Oh, and bonus points if you get my headline.
I am caring, very loyal (maybe to a flaw), honest, and outgoing Midwest guy. I consider myself to be very independent and determinate. If I want something, I go for it with everything I have (once again, maybe to a flaw). I am relentlessly hopeful in the situations life presents me, I can find the good side of almost any situation. I love the outdoors (fishing, hiking, climbing, camping, kayaking, surfing, etc.), running, working out, reading, trying new things, and staying busy. Exercise is something that I do pretty much on a daily basis - it keeps me sane. I love Crossfit (I know, trendy, right? ;) ) and finding new fun workouts to test myself. My newest hobby is mountain climbing - my goals for this year are Mt. Whitney's "East Face Mountaineer's Route" and Mt. Rainier via the Kautz Glacier. I enjoy the traveling I have done in my life and want to do a lot more of it.
I am very motivated and goal oriented so I like to be working towards something. I love my job and I am very good at it. I sometimes work odd hours and have weird days off which makes meeting people hard (hence my foray into internet dating), but I will always make time for those important to me. I take my career seriously, but it doesn't rule my life. I love my family and friends (who doesn't?) and I spend as much time with them as I possibly can.
I have been told I don't have a lot of photos in my profile so I would like to apologize right off the bat. I don't have a bunch of pictures of me in crazy and exotic places, skydiving/ scubadiving/ triatholon/ biathalon/ marathon photos (but I have done most of those things), or magazine quality pics of myself. But, at least I'm not taking photos of myself in the bathroom mirror flexing with my shirt off - which is something I've heard guys do on this site (why?), and that has to count for something :) Best wishes!
